Who's The King Of New York
« on: March 18, 2002, 06:13:50 PM »
I think the crown has to go to Biggie and i don't think anyone will ever come close to what he did for NY and he will always remain to me and i'm sure to a lot of others as the kind of New York.I don't give a fuck what Jay-z or Nas to it will never compare. hahaha i can't believe Jay-z claimed to be better then biggie! hahahaha what a fucken joke.

RIP Biggie u will always be the greatest!

KRS-One....hands down...he runs shit in NY...hes better than Nas, Gay-Z, Jadapiss, Ja Fool, Memphis Geek, Mobb Weak and anyone else who thinks they run NY....Fat Joe came up under KRS' wing so hes not the King for sure....even when B.I.G. was around...i think KRS held the crown....he wouldve annihilated B.I.G. in a battle...thats on the real....KRS is my choice if u didnt catch my drift..

In all honesty, I think its Wu Tang Clan.

36 chambers
Only Built 4 Cuban Linx
Liquid Swords
Wu Tang Forever
Ironman
Supreme Clientele
Iron Flag
Return To The 36 Chambers
Tical

^^^all of those are at least 4 mic caliber albums. Most of them are classic or near classic, and 36 Chambers and Cuban Linx are arguably two of the top 10 greatest albums ever made. Sure, they arent as good as they used to be, but they've put out so much classic material its sick, and they have set countless trends. I love Nas and Biggie to the fullest, but I think the Wu deserve it the most.

i know it's all opinion but i can't see how some of y'all can sit there and say nas wuz better then BIGGIE? that's a fucken joke homie. Nas is nothin compared to Biggie. Nas has such a fucken weak flow and his lyrics are not always as amazin as peeps say they are. On the other hand biggie always came correct and dropped two classics in a row where as Nas IMO dropped on classic and the rest garbage albums.
