Lol Dre wants to do this Rnb thing again?Lets hope it turns out better then Truth Hurts.

Other than that she is very nice, talented and she ripped the chours on Start From Scratch.I wouldnt mind hearing her on Detox instead of Mary J Blige.

That must feel good for someone who came all the way from the U.K.!
I don't think this will compromise the release date of Detox though as Dre probably has made it his first priority.

he's prolly signed her to work on detox, so he can build a nice chemistry and when its time for her to be on a detox track she goes all out.

I heard an industry guy talk about these type of signings saying that they are only for tax write off's. These artists are signed by people who know full well (dre) no album will ever come of it. Because they are working with these people and their contract stipulates they are to produce x amount of material over a given time the higher upps can claim there work with them as a tax write off and further more claim them as a loosing investment (because there is still no album to recoup expenses) with is a huge tax break. The catch? You’re only allowed to get the tax break on a loosing investment for 3 years before you're expected to can the investment. Funny how A LOT of artists get signed for 2-3 years with no album to show for it and then they are dropped or they leave themselves isn’t it?

Yeah, she killed Start From Scratch, she could be the official hooklayer for Aftermath. (After Nate Dogg of course)

She would be a good signing, its obvious Dre can make a good R&B album (Michel'le) if he isn't put under contraints.

From AftermathMusic:

AFTERMATH IN TALKS WITH MARCIA AMBROSIUS // JAN 26, 2006
Rumors going around that Aftermath is going to sign Marcia Ambrosius of Floetry. According to Kirdis Postelle the General Manager of Aftermath Entertainment, Aftermath is currently in talks with Marcia and her management, but there has been no official signing. More information later.

Dre should:

1) release albums from his current artists
2) sign other people

what about the floacist?   why's she getting dissed?

i don't think dre can do r&b beats.  scott storch struggles with r&b, most of his r&b shit is wack.  these hip hop producers need to stick to hip hop.

dre should have gone after the floacist and done a hip hop album with her.
if dre insists on doing this r&b album he should ensure that the songstress spends all her non studio time in the gym.  tighten things up a little bit, get that sleeker svelte r&b singer look.  the floacist is the one with the sex appeal at the moment...

Eminem and 50 Cent have no need to be on Aftermath anymore, couldn't really care about Game either.

i'm not feeling any of those cats either, but they make money and dre doesn't even need to produce for them anymore.  em and 50 clearly don't need dre beats for their fan base.  the game probably does, but whatever.

dre should let them do their thing, possibly make money for the label, and focus on other acts as you suggest.  why throw money away, if those guys are making dre money?  he doesn't have to give them his time, as long as they are making money on their own.
