Another thing to consider is how long Snoop has been relevant in the rap game.  We are talking a decade plus folks, that's not easy.

his one of only a few back in the day gangsta rappers whos managed to stay big today, his got the best vioce in the game to me, i go college and people play some hip hop shit n ya like' dam whos that???, sounds aiight' but when ya hear a snoop song ya like 'damn this snoop songs ill' cuz everyone recognizes him, i mean i know he only has a lil part to play in the song still dre, but without his vioce on the hook it wouldnt have been the same song, peace

i dont think that snoop has fallen off he jus changed his style.  i still think that he needs to work with the dpg more but i guess he wants to expand his horizons.

Anyway, whoever said Snoop won't be considered a legend is dead wrong.. he's still popular as hell, even though I DO think he has fallen the fuck off. I ain't a Snoop hater.. I just ain't felt anything he's done since like '95. Mothafuckas still be buyin' his shit, and they always will.

Snoop has become more versatile...He can come hardcore like his verse on Lay Low and he could do smoothed out tracks like True Lies...A lot of Snoop fans want him to come with that Doggystyle type rap but it's not about that all the time...Snoop has grown and likes to express himself in different ways...He hasn't fallen just matured...
