I hope this is reason enough for WWE to finally look beyond whatever problems there might have been and give this man a proper goodbye. There is this little video on their site, there is the slideshow with highlights of his career etc. And while he won't get a goodbye salute on Raw, just do something that really lives up to the legacy of the Macho Man.

It's so funny to me in a way cause when I was a kid I didn't care for Macho Man at all. When I started watching he was the "sidekick" of Hogan (that's how I viewed him at least - 1988ish) and because of that I didn't like him too much. But when I got older I started to realize how awesome this man was in the ring. He was the Shawn Michaels of the 80s or better yet, Shawn Michaels was the Macho Man of the 90s. Savage could have 5* matches wrestling-wise and then add to it all with his character.

It's a shame that certain things (whatever it might have been) held him back from returning to the WWE cause he could have added tremendously to the product and the evolution of future wrestlers. But it wasn't meant to be - ok.

But what means way more than his career and his contribution to the business is that a human being died.

RIP Macho Man

They acknowledged him at the beginning of the PPV. He deserves more though.

When you ask any random person on the street about wrestling, only a few names will pop up for sure: Hulk Hogan, Andre The Giant, Roddy Piper, Ric Flair and Randy Savage.

Its a shame he never got to be in the HOF.
