Hart Trophie Winner...Jagr or J.Thornton

Well we dont talk to much hockey on this board but i would like to know who you guys think will win the Hart Trophie and why..
well i think Thortons gonna win it because he basicly took a team that didnt lok like was ognna mke the playoffs they were like 15 poitns out and he and Cheechoo(leading goal scorer) started tearing it up...and well there in the playoffs now 5th place in the western conference, but yea u could also make ur arguments for Jagr soo post wat u think..peace

Thornton, simply because he took slightly above average player like J. Cheecho and turned him into a 50 goal scorer

As great as a seaon Jagr had this year you would still have to give to Thornton, turned his team around, he took a young player that had some potential and turned him into the top goal scorer for the season, Cheecho scored 50+ goals because of Thornton most avg. hockey fans probably didn't even know who Jonathan Cheecho was at the beginning of the seaon...Thornton is definately the winner of the Hart trophy look at the impact he made on his team and on the players around him no denying he his MVP.

I think race for Calder is much tighter...and if Crosby wins or they have Co-Winners that will be the biggest bullshit ever no denying Ovechkin is the best rookie this season and he showed it game in and game out the media need to get off Crosby's nuts

id say thornton, he helped turn around the Sharks this year and made chechoo an amazing player (as well as a sleeper in fantasy leagues)

when u talk to a lot of palyers in the nhl they think  that dion phaneuf should be considered for Calder as well as Ovechkin. i think its almost a shoe-in that crosby wont get it. Ovechkin's put up amazing number this yr but they say that its so much harder for a defenseman to establish himself in this leaugue and for phaneuf to do it in his rookie season and to be such a dominant force on the blueline is amazing. then again i dont really follow hockey this is just from what ive heard and read. personally i would pick ovechkin cuz 50-50 is just amazing for a rookie this yr(even though the league rule changes make it easier to score goals) and he's put some sick moves and made defenders and goalies look silly on the ice.

no question Joe Thornton should win it. Look at the points of his line mates before and after joe joined the sharks. San jose right now are the hottest team going into the playoffs and its because of thorton.
