Incognito, of course these raps are nothing special at all, when has warren ever been the man on tme mic.  Warren is a producer first, he never even wanted to be an MC.  His album's are a showcase for his production skills, and ROTR has him at his finest.  It is fucking mindbogglin when people say the new album is not good cuz of his lyrics or how he is rapping!  Warren G will never be on par with the likes of Nas or Ras kass, or even someone like Bad Ass or Tray Dee.  However, while he isn't rippin the mic to pieces, he does have  a great flow and makes great songs.

Once again, if you are looking for fucking lyrics go elsewhere Incognito!  Noone on this board ever hyped this album up to be a lyrical masterpiece, so why are you surprised???!!!!   Some of you guys amaze me, like you just started listening to Warren G with this album; if you had actually listened to his shit before you would know his lyrics aren't the greatest!  I love this album because of the beats, the hooks, Warren's laidback straightforward style, and because of the outstanding guest appearances (if you want lyrics on this album, Mista Grimm is incredible on 5 tracks)!

Oh ya, fuck whoever judges an album by fucking sales!  Soem of you guys are starting to piss me off, i know this is the net but i feel like pulling a Kurupt and Calling out Names!  I mean, some of ya'll need to form your own fucking opinion of this cd instead of judging it by sales, or saying stupid shit like the "RAPS ARE NOTHING SPECIAL AT ALL"- Incognito!  I mean, that is probably the dumbest statement i have ever heard from anyone, let alone someone who's opinion i have grown to respect on this board......

I really hate to admit it but I was kinda dissapointed of this cd when I d/l . Yes I played it for like a week straight but after a while it got old real quick cause it really had no songs that stuck out. Now don't ge me wrong, this is a good cd,better than other bullshit but it didnt deserve the title "Return of the Regulator"

As a fan of Warren G though I still went out and bought it to support the man and damn he needs alot right now :o

Teecee I agree 100% and must say... it's so right in my mind... A lot of people here will say G Funk Era was a classic album, yet... Warren never ripped it on the mic... Warren never will, yet for some reason, when they heard the album, they were expecting a battling MC... Minority gave the album 0/5 lyrics... first off... lyrics dont need to be tongue twisters... some of the dopest lyrics to ever grace Hip Hop came from a man called Slick Rick and he was anything but an MC... lyrics can deal with content just as much as delivery... if you want an MC... listen to Mista Grimm... he's all over the damn CD and he stands out so much... I never heard a Grimm verse until this album and he simply took full advantage... I think Grimm himself puts the lyrics in this album... I think that's why Warren wanted to use him too... He knows he is not an MC, so he gets someone who is and his delivery is straight fire... Warren's content and ideas are simply deep... I listened to the song Ghetto Village like 10 straight times and I still learn more... no CD has done that for me since NWA... when you put words together and you're left un-puzzling his verse, you know it's good... Warren's production is up to my expectations... I was expecting Gfunk and I got it... it's my favorite sound around and he delivered it.... then there are the hookmakers.... Butch, Nate, Kokane and Clinton... you can't find better... it seems like most people here just skimmed the tracks and skipped to the next... this album is so deep, so dope, so fresh I can't speak on it anymore... I should buy this album for everyone in my family... it is that dope...

"The problem is IRC! Releasing it 2 months ago. That's all. Cause the album is better than half of the albums that are from position 1 to 88. "
MIRC IS NOT THE PROBLEM for Warren g's new album...in fact nas new album was on MIRC(400.000 copies the first week),
Jay z's blueprint was on mirc and all the albums from other artists were on mirc.
The problem for this album is the quality.....NOT MIRC!

Ok,Mista Grimm is tight....but this is a warren g's album,and i don't give a fuck if he's tight....'cause IT'S THE WARREN G ALBUM,u know what i'm sayin?
I don't wanna buy an album for the featurings, but for the quality of the ARTIST.

I think that KNOCK'S LANDIN will be much better than this album....Knock-turn'al destroy Warren g on evry point of view

What the fuck are you talking about?? LMAO! It's like comparing R.Kelly to Nas, man!

They totally different! LMAO @ your post, man!! For real, this is one of the funniest post i've ever seen here! Shit.. why dont u compare 2Pac to Warren G? LOL! Ohh... wait! What about Destiny's Child vs The Lady Of Rage?

C'mon man.. you obviously are a "new" (non)fan of Warren G. I BET $100000000... on it! Cause if u knew Warren G... damn! He aint a lyricis. He aint a real MC. He's more a narrator. He made G-Funk, a new style of Rap. He introduced Snoop in the game, he formed 213, he produced and launched what i consider the best album ever (THE TWINZ's one), and he even executive produced a R&B album (REEL TIGHT). He launched a R&B artist like Jessica, he even made tracks with Bee Gees and Sissel. WTF are you talking about? Are u trying to compare G Dubb to Knock-turn'al? This fool just made 2 good tracks, man! (i dont even like em, but that's not the point). Dont even try to do it. It's like comparing Aretha Franklin with Alicia Keys. Dont joke. If you a new fan, deserve some respect to the man who made Rap.

Like half of the board is trying to tell you, Warren aint a lyricist. He's one of the tightest producer in the game (my fav one, afta Dre. But they totally different styles). I bet you love Tha Eastsidaz's BIG BANG THEORY beat, uh? Well.. Warren G produced it. Just to show u something recent you might know (cause u obviously dont even know who Jah-Skillz is!). It's funny when i read: MY REVIEWS - BEATS 5/5, LYRICS 0/5. WTF?? Yeah, that's Warren G. And that's why he got a lot of collaborations on his cd. Cause he just made hot beats and rap a lil on em. It's like Dre.

What about Dre? Lyrics -1/5, Beats 6/5.

How can u say that Dre sucks cause he aint a good lyricist? Why dont u say the same to Dr.Dre's 2001? Cause we know who wrote half of his rymes. But this shit is classic, no matter what!

LMAO! It's like comparing Dr.Dre to Chino XL, man! WTF?

History lessions for you!

1) He formed 213, yes! Shut up if u dont know shit. Just listen to tracks like "DO YOU SEE", "FRIENDS", etc.. He made em when Snoop was in & out from jail (Snoop was a drug dealer, a fool), and Nate was just kicked out from Navy. They were friends and Warren told em: "Why dont we make money with music instead that selling drugs and visiting our homies in jail once a week?". So they made a tape (the infamous 213 Demo Tape) and Warren forced Dre to play it in a party. He asked Dre thousands of time to give him and his lil friends a chance and finally, in 1992, Dre made the Chronic and he let em join Death Row (actually... Warren didnt signed). So... he formed 213, yeah. LOL AGAIN!

2) "Are u trying to compare G Dubb to Knock-turn'al?" Y E S.
Man.. read again my last post. If u still so dumb... i call me out. U too much for my balls. Too ignorant to see the difference.

3) WARREN G IS THE MAN WHO MADE RAP? Yeah, i was comparing him to Knock. Once again, it's obvious that you dont even know him, so shut the fuck. I think you are making yourself a fool now. He sold more than 8 millions of CDs in his career. And he executive produced other 5 albums, r&b and rap. He even worked on he production of The Chronic and Doggystyle, of Mista Grimm and Snoop, Nate and 2Pac.. So.. if u dont know him... it's your fault. LMAO at you comparing him to Knock.

About me dickriding.. naw......... it's just you showing how ignorant you are (i'm talking about rap).  ;D
