The PS3 came out on top in the vote for which next generation system players are most looking forward to. 58.3% selected the PS3 as the next generation system they most want, compared to the Wii's 33.8% and the Xbox 360's 7.9%. It's worth noting that the Wii didn't have an official presence at the show, which is not attended by Nintendo, and was only shown being played by company reps (often scantily clad company reps) in the various 3rd party booths.

^^ could be...people may have just got hyped by the PS3 and 360 promos...could be spur of the moment responses

but the ps2 has been the best current gen console by a long shot...its only right that people expect the same from the ps3

lol yea i think both of the systems will do good in japan, the 360 tho is another story over there

A lot of the quirky Japan-only RPGs and puzzle games are usually only available on Sony and Nintendo consoles (there tons of these games that never get a Western release). There are very few of these games on Xbox and that's why it didn't do so well over there.
That's why the Japanese aren't really checking for the 360.

Well, that plus Nintendo and Sony have both been in the japanese culture for forever.  Microsoft is not as big of a name in Japan as Nintendo, which has been doing one thing or the other since the 1800's, and Sony, which has what been around now for 40 years over there?

That would be like us getting excited over a Daiwoo gaming system where most of the games were in japanese.  NOT.

fuck all consoles, i cant hate the wii even though it seems like a kids console, it seems pretty good and innovative ofcourse, but imma still be only fucking with a ps3, imma see if i can get someone to cop a wii so i can check it,lol..............looks like imma have to wait till xmas for ps3 though still.....aint nuttin fuckin with it

u should preorder one or sumthin cuz there gonna prolly b sold out by christmas,espcially since there arent gonna be to many avalible to begin with..
