Is Coolio's It Takes A Thief album a classic?
« on: November 01, 2001, 09:36:50 AM »
Hell ya, but noone ever mentions it, or gives Coolio props.  This album was tight from front to back, and is one of my fav. albums from my fav. days of Westcoast music.  From Fantastic Voyage, County Line, Mama I'm in Love Wit a Gangsta, to It Takes A Thief and I remember, this album is incredible.  I put it in and it takes my back, ya know?
I can see how some of y'all think im acrazy for callin this a classic, but to me it is!  What do y'all think?

AMAZING Album! 4.5/5

Not CLASSIC IMO but damn good. It was extremely different from all the other WEST COAST gangsta shit that was coming out at the time. "Ghetto Cartoon" was funny as hell. He bit the idea of "Gangsta's Fairytale" but it was dope nontheless. "Fantastic Voyage" is a CLASSIC song though, there's no denying that. The video was CLASSIC too. My nigga F.Gary Gray always comes correct.

I don't know about the whole album being a classic, but it had 3 classic songs on it.

"Fantastic Voyage"
"I Remember"
"Mama I'm In Love With A Gangsta"
