I'd say George Clinton, Zapp, Bootsy, etc. They laid down the foundation and most of Hutch, Dre and Warren's early "G-Funk" work contained samples from at least one of these artists.Or it might have just been the bloods, who knows.

So youre saying that the actual rap producers had more to do with creating the sound than Zapp, Clinton, P-Funk, etc.?
