Quik's "old" crew
« on: May 30, 2007, 06:06:04 AM »
Does anyone know what's with rappers like 2nd II None, Playa Hamm, HI-C or Suga Free? What are they working on right now? All the latest news have always been about The Fixxers, but I would really like to know if we can expect also some shit from the others and if Quik is involved in any way. I still think that it's about time for Quik to start his own label. Signed artists would be: Hi-C, 2nd II None, Playa Hamm, Suga Free, AMG, El DeBarge and some new dope cats from the streets of Compton.

Suga Free's supposed to work on an album with Kokane called "Suga Kane" but i think this one will never see the light of day...
Last thing i heard from Playa Hamm is his appearance on Tweed Cadillac's album..

2nd II None is working on a project called "The Kollective", that's all I know.

A DJ Quik Death Row EP should be released soon and I'm gonna get it, fuck the Fixxers.

I think that DeBarges retire at least from R&B/Hip Hop music, I've heard they all do Gospel.. don't know if it's true.

My bad, it's obviously not an official release.. you know just like Kurupt EP, etc.
It's gonna have unreleased 2Pac, Danny Boy, K-Ci & JoJo.. when I'll get more info, I'm gonna let you know.

I agree, I've been anticipating Suga Kain like no other album. Could be the best record they've ever released. I think they waiting for a label, it's sad to see two of the best west coast rappers not getting paid like they should be.

It'll be released one day though, maybe over the internet like Snoop's doing.

I also think they should release it independent just to put it out there. So the money goes directly into their pockets.

D wasn't on "Under the Influence". And I remember in the thank you's he said somethin like "if I didn't mention your name - it was for a reason". Matter of fact, I think he left Playa Hamm's name out too but I could be wrong about that.
