  • If it don't make dollaz, it don't make sense.
I had been listening to the one that dropped this year and at 1st I had began to like it more than the one that dropped last year. However, recently, I started listening to the old mix from '06 & now I'm starting to favor that one more. It has more of a laidback feel to it with the sample higher in the mix of the song and the beat is more mellow than the new one, which I prefer more out of the 2006 song. What are you guys' thoughts on this?

If you haven't heard the songs, the 06 mix is here on Sly Boogy's myspace page:

And the '07 mix is here on the System's myspace page:

Yeah, like you said, the '06 version has more of a mellow-feel to it. I tend to bump that version on hot sunny days more than the '07 version. However, I like the '07 one too though. Can't really choose ;)

If you asked me this the day the '07 version dropped I would have been like "Na the original is way better", but now that I've had time to listen to it for a while... I think it's superior to the original.

Going with the final product.

CDQ-mastering/mixing and its arguably a better crafted beat. Original was the first time I heard it and THAT was nice but pointblank the final version stands superior to me on every ledge.

True, I think that after having the song available for listening for so long they really got a strong idea on what they ultimately wanted it to sound like and I think it's a classic.

I heard somewhere that this track was supposed to feature the Dogg Pound... is there any truth to this? For some reason I could really hear Roscoe owning this beat.
