As a few of you may be aware, I am the Music Editor of DubCNN.com, where I'm primarily responsible for the current Reviews section. However, as I am also a freelance journalist, I contribute to other outlets now and then. XXL recently afforded me the great opportunity to talk to an emotional and candid Quik about his late comrade Mausberg. I urge all DubCC readers to check this feature out - Quik is incredibly open and provides a lot of insight on his time with Maus. Link:http://www.xxlmag.com/online/?p=11303I'd love to hear readers feedback on this article. I hope it is considered a fitting tribute to a real rising star.R.I.P. Johnny 'Mausberg' Burns (1979-2000)(PS: As any writer will tell you, once in a while your work gets edited. As a result, one of XXLMag.com's editors inserted the line, "the day before his (Mausberg's) album was to be released," in relation to his passing. I'm sure this is false, and am working on getting it fixed.)
