According to soundscan figures "E.eternal 1999"...
« on: June 25, 2001, 03:15:16 PM »
has done 1x Diamond and Vibe mag (i think its that) says its the most successful gangsta rap album thus far. (please note its a single cd and these are suppose to be U.S sales only) Obviously u could say that "all eyes on me" or "life after death" has done more but they are double cd albums and are counted twice.

This is meant to be official.

Laterz.

E.1999 Eternal is one of the greatest and most influential hip hop albums ever made, in my opinion.

Dont trust all the numbers you see at RIAA.com, cuz alot of albums there arent updated.  They have albums from the 70's that aint been updated. Some of their shit is accurate, but E.1999 Eternal has definatly sold more than 6 million, though im not sure if its quite diamond yet. The last official number I saw on billboard [back when the album was still on the charts] was 7 million.....but that was over 4 years ago. However, Im sure its gone up since then, especially cuz it still sells alot today.

Oh and in "sonicnet album reviews" (website) it says they are the most successful hip hop group ever.

If you listen to the song "Thug music plays on" Layzie bone says "I bet they thought we'd fall off after over 30 million records and 7 years in the game"

What makes me laugh a little is if this is true then they have out sold the Wu Tang clan, and theres probably more than double the num of Wu albums out there than BONE albums.

Muwha ha ha.

My CD had it from day 1...

Maybe you mean the remix version that is played on the video?

Wood is anything below Silver
Silver is 250,000
Gold is 500,000
Platinum is 1,000,000
Diamond is 10,000,000

That means in that topic about which made a bigger impact - Wu Tang or Bone, it must be Bone Thugs.
