That means in that topic about which made a bigger impact - Wu Tang or Bone, it must be Bone Thugs.

Bone is the highest selling rap group ever, and they are the second highest in sales for rap overall, with over 29 million records sold [this includes all certified solo albums and Mo thug compilations]. Only 2Pac has sold more, with 34 million sold. So yes, Bone has outsold Wu Tang, but both are great groups and were equally influential in my opinion. Bone is my sentimental favorite, but Wu Tang is right up there with them. So is Outkast, Gang Starr, etc etc.

I dont know the exact figures for E.1999, but I do know its in the top 5 selling LEGIT hip hop albums ever [sorry, but this doesnt include HIP POP albums like Vanilla Ice or mc Hammer].

Wu is better then bone. Sales don't determine the impact someone makes. Thats like saying vanilla ice or mc hammer has had a bigger impact on the music world then dre because they sold more.

I remember some one on hot104.com who worked for soundscan saying that it had sold 8.5 million and it would probably be diamond in 1-2 years because it still continues to sell.

Both great groups, but Bone takes it.  Not because they sold more, but because they brought a completely new sound to hip hop.

Wu tang brought a new sound to hip hop too. They were the ones who revolutionized hip hop crews. No other crew did what wu tang did until they did it. Groups like st lunatics, d12, eastsidaz, etc follow the crew formula that the wu put out.

Both groups brought a new sound, but it was Bone who brought a completely new STYLE all-together. Nobody even knew what "harmony" gangsta rap was until Bone brought for the world to hear. Wu Tang and Bone are two of my fav groups, im feelin Bone more cuz ive been a fan of them longer, and Bone, overall, is just a VERY deep group, spiritually. And thats some Ive always had respect for.

Where is bone now?
They aren't even cool with each other yet wu is a 10 member group and had each other's back since day 1. No disrepect towards bone, cause bone is tight, but I don't think they are good by them selves. They need to be in a group.

What does them not being tight now have to do with how good they are? Tight or not they still make great music just like the Wu.

True that, and besides, Wu is ALSO having problems with one another right now, RZA and Meth in particular.....And Killah Priest called out RZA.

Creepin Vs. 36 Chambers. I wouldnt say Wu wins it so easily. I dont think you realize the impact Creepin had when it first dropped. That album brought a completely new sound to hip hop as we know it today. I wouldnt say Creepin is more influential than 36 Chambers, but its really too tough to call if you know the impact both albums had. Perhaps a slight edge to 36 Chambers cuz it was a longer album.

E.1999 Eternal vs. Wu Forever. E.1999, EASILY. Matter of fact, I consider this to be better than ANY Wu album, but thats just me. Its 17 songs, ALL of which are gems. Wu Forever is very good, probably a near classic, but it doesnt even compare to E.1999 Eternal.

Art Of War vs. The W......Art Of War wins this one hands down. The W lacked alot of chemistry, and some of the songs were just plain horrible. The album was still decent though, and not wack by any means. Art Of War, in my opinion, is a classic. Not quite as strong as E.1999 Eternal, but not far behind either. Art Of War was Bone's "conceptual" masterpiece, and its one of the most diverse 2-cd sets ive ever heard.

Personally, I think its best to compare Creepin with 36 Chambers, Art Of War [not E.1999 Eternal] to Wu Forever, E.1999 Eternal to Liquid Swords, and Resurrection to The W.

I guess I could break it down like this:

36 Chambers: 5 mics
Wu Forever: 4.5 mics
Only Built 4 Cuban Linx: 4.75 mics
Liquid Swords: 5 mics
The W: 3.75 mics

Creepin On Ah Come Up: 5 mics
E.1999 Eternal: 5 mics
Art Of War: 4.75 mics
Family Scriptures: 4.75 mics
BTNHresurrection: 4 mics

Both are great groups, but Ive been a Bone fan longer, so......
