THE C-WALK
« on: June 21, 2001, 10:42:03 AM »
The C-Walk's been around for awhile.  But, lately I've seen it become the latest dance craze.  What was originally something only for the Crips has become something I've seen people do at a party or club.  Tyrese did it in his video and so did 112.  I wonder if this is an insult to the real Crips?  It's something that's always been theirs.  Now, it's out there as a dance like the Cha-Cha Slide and Macarena.

When I have people over to my apartment the Up In Smoke video is always in, and everyone always wants to rewind the Dub-C crip walk part of the show over and over.

I got one raggidy crip walk. I've tried to do it a couple times and I'm.....okay.

I've seen that shaking dance. They were doing it in Eve's "Who's That Girl" and G-Dep's video. I'm sorry but they look retarded. Shakin like they got seizures.

I've heard people refer to that shaking dance as the "Haarlem Shimmy". That sounds real fruity though.
