Damizza Interview Part 3 + New Music! - October 3, 2007 By : Eddie

The third and final part of our in-depth feature with Damizza is finally here! To wrap up the interview, we caught up with him again last night to keep all of the information as fresh as possible.

Damizza tells us about his upcoming mixtape/street album “Ill Clinton,” which is executive produced by Bishop Lamont and hosted by DJ Warrior. We also clear the air about his supposed beef with Shade Sheist and N.U.N.E. After this, we discuss all of his current endeavors, including his work with the group Guilty, and his “Unreleased” project that has recently been pushed back to February. Of course, we couldn’t leave you hanging without the latest “Detox” news, so you’ll also find out everything Damizza knows about the project. Read or listen to the interview by following the link below.

Exclusive Interview With Damizza [Part 3] [October 2007]

We've got more new music for you today as well! First up is another cut from Damizza's massive vault. The song, which is also discussed in the interview, is called "Cali In Tha Sunshine." It's a great track, so download it below.

Damizza - Cali In Tha Sunshine

Next is a track by the 805's Tony Corleone, who is also mentioned in the interview. This song is produced by Los and is called "Mafioso." Be sure to check it out and spread it around as much as possible!

Tony Corleone - Mafioso [Produced by Los]

We've also got a couple of tracks that we have premiered previously. Young De's new single "Patron" is discussed extensively in the interview, so make sure to grab a copy of the track and have a listen for yourself after you're done reading the feature.

Young De - Patron [Produced by Damizza & Jedi Jared Moore]

Finally, we have a track off the "Ill Clinton" project called "I Ain't Playin'." The Prime-featured track is sure to get your attention, so if you missed it when we premiered it last May, here it is again.

Damizza - I Ain't Playin' (featuring Prime)

We've got some new pictures of Damizza for you to check out as well. The last one is of him, Jim Brown, and Taje when they all met recently and discussed the civil rights movement.

As always, be sure to stop by our forums and chat with Damizza directly. Add him as your friend on Myspace, and while you're at it, add Los, Guilty, Silas, Young De, Tony Corleone, and "Jedi" Jared Moore as well. Make sure to request Young De's "Patron," Silas's "Not Me", Bishop Lamont's "Feel On It," Butch Cassidy's "Swagger," and Taje's "Butterfly Effect" on your local radio stations. With all of these singles popping up, it won't be long before Baby Ree becomes a household name!

Stay tuned to Dubcnn for the lastest on Damizza and the entire Baby Ree camp.

^Hopefully Damizza can clear that up for you himself!  The way I took it was that it's not out of the question, but they've both got their own things going on so it probably wouldn't happen in the near future.

Well they are both doing Good!!
Shade is enjoying the whole PYO movement and success it affords him, so i can't see him chaning or altering any of that not for a long time!!

The material i've heard from him, thus far, seems to prove he is doing Very Good!!

good read too Props eddie!

Myspace is better than radio – you can get like 300 spins in two days! In radio, if you get a spin, maybe a handful of people actually hear it and digest it. If not, it’s just another song on the radio. With Myspace, if you send out a bulletin, they really watch that shit [and] read that stuff! Myspace is more of a personal thing. People take Myspace real personal with the Top 8 stuff. If you take someone off the Top 8, oh man! You might as well have said, “I want to fight you!” I’ve sold a couple of beats on Snocap [as well.] I put the beats up there, I get the Paypal receipt, and there’s your license. You can you use it for your CD and have a Damizza record on your shit. Isn’t that cool? I love that shit.

MySpace is powerful now because it is a global affair. The music is not just for the U.S., it's for Russia, Japan, Germany, France, China, England... it's all over the fucking globe. You can't avoid that.

And damn, this interview is so real. Learning from Damizza, I realized how much work is involved, yet you can still have fun in the music business. It's cool to be yourself in the game and not play a puppeteer to the corporate industry. The strings may be attached when you start out, but to become a real boy, you gotta earn that keep. You don't know when that miracle will hit you - it often takes time, patience, smarts, lots of experience, or just the right people.

Can't wait to meet with Sonny B this Saturday. I'll make sure to hit you up, Eddie and Damizza. Thanks for the marvelous interview.

Think it has to do with the nature of fans. They want the fans to see their producers and rappers actively posting on the forums.

Kinda like similar with DeviantArt: fanartists won't post unless they're friends and shit.

well "Patron" is a good track, i mean not that kind of tracks i like from damizza, but still good, but i dont like that "cali in the sunshine" beat, lyrics are on point, but beat is just ok, i think damizza is changing his style or dont know, i just need those smooth, party, funky beats from him... anyway good work on all those new artist and producers... keep it the good work Mizza...  8)
