In some ways I agree with this and in other ways I don't. Crooked was a different type of rapper when he was on Tha Row. I don't want to use the term "battle rapper", but his style was definitely more raw. I know that there are several exception to the rule, but for the most part Crooked seemed to have one style back then. I'd say he has grown as an emcee though. His songwriting ability and subject matter has increased ten fold since he dropped Young Boss 2 a few years back. The question is subjective though, because it comes down to what style of Hip Hop you prefer. If your into that raw underground-lyrical flow, you probably liked pre-Row to Row era Crooked. These days he's impossible to categorize, he's got so many styles that he's in a league of his own.

i disagree

i think Crooked has improved in every catagory

the thing he had going for him before Dynasty/Treacherous?? Hype and potential.  Plus he had collabos with DPG, Snoop, Scarface, Treach, Luniz etc. on his resume to back him up.

since he left Death Row, he's got a song with a few words from Akon thrown on the hook and some mixtapes and a weekly Hip Hop radio appearance that lasted a year.  plus 10000 compilation/guest/unreleased songs for us to hear with no album....

i honestly could care less if he never drops an "album", I'll always look at him as one of the dopest emcees ever and a personal favorite.

100% ON POINT!

Back then he used make dope songs but now all he releases are freestyles which are always somebody elses beats and one long verse by him...  There boring...
And it now seems that since he made so many "hiphop weekly's" that he cant even rap now... he cant make a song...

He has his new track with Akon "Dream Big" and hes talking about his 16 and his haters and his internet bloggers.... and im just like  ??? :-X
Because those things are cool for freestlyes but when your making your 1st single off an album, thats real real bad talking about internet bloggers and all these freestyle subjects...

Im really starting to hate crooked I now...  He used to be dope but now he aint the same...

Nobody even knows what a Crooked I album would sound like...  and Im pretty sure the album is not coming out soon either..

To be honest, i think almost all rappers that were on death row at any point in their career had their best shit while on death row. There are a few exceptions, but for the most part it's true. Crooked i beleive had the better shit on Deathrow but he aint too far off now. The sound is a lot different though, he's changed a lot imo.

Crooked is way better artist then he was on deathrow, he is more complete, deathrow was a school for him , he learned alot there and moved on with that knowledge.

Yeah but his lyrics are way better now.  And to me, that outweighs a dope flow.

Somebody hook up that Young Noble song from the site, bangin' like a muthafucka.
"Hip Hop was better off when it was just Dre, Scarface, and Esco"
