After Doggystyle...what are Snoop's three best albums?

I'd say that 98% of rap fans would say that Doggystyle is Snoop's best album...unless they didn't start listenin to rap until 2000 or later.

I am trying to figure it out...after Doggystyle, how would you rank Snoop's albums? Although many people said Doggfather was a great disappointment, some others still feel it is a classic album.

I'm only listing his official solo albums...none of the "Dead man walking" or Greatest hits types.

I really can't even call it right now...they all represent different eras and sounds, and there's only one that I just can't get into much at all. Even when listening to them back to back, it's hard to really compare and say what's better, because most of them were very solid, but had a few weak points as well.

I know one thing for sure tho, if Snoop would put 14-16 tracks on all his albums we could have more than one classic and his legacy would be much better.

Damm...I think I agree with that there. Those are definitely the three that stand out most to me. With Doggfather, I still have mixed feelings about it. I was in 4th grade when Doggystyle dropped, and 6th or 7th with Doggfather, so I wasn't listenin to it on that "damn it's not livin up to the hype of Doggystyle."

I heard both albums hundreds of times, but never really listened to them straight through and to where I could analyze it until 2000 or so...and I realized that Doggystyle was light years ahead of Doggfather, but that didn't make it a bad album in any way to me. Doggystyle is still my favorite album of all time...and I think Doggfather still sounds better than some of the albums that came out during that time period. However....even if you just compare it to the Death Row albums, such as All eyez on me and Dogg Food, it's far behind.

These are the 3 albums after Doggystyle that Dr.Dre worked on, he was absent on the 5 others.

doggfather is classis to me theres probly no other hip hop album ive listened to more
only problem with pooh on that album was he was following dre thats why he never got the respect he deserved for production on that album
