Money. Hard to keep everyone on the same page. No different then Wu-Tang. Soopafly said it best though. Individually we the shit but collectively we cant be fucked with. Doggfather and Tha Streetz showed that.

No different then
-Wu-Tang:

-Ruthless Mafia Clan
-Juice Crew
-Dangerous Crew
....and on and on and on to the break....  :P

Doggfather

:-[ :-X :P  ;)

You may not like the album as do many others but I like out it was structured. Almost all in house production (DPGC members or affiliates), excluding Too Short for the most part all DPGC guest appearances. They kept it all family, that album is the blueprint. Tha Streetz is the only DPGC album that executed that better than the Doggfather.

Pooh and LT I consider affiliates. Pooh and Cube by this time pretty much had a falling out and LT had always worked close with DPGC so they part of the crew as affiliates IMO. Sam Sneed also, no different if Dr. Dre was involved on it. But my point basically is that when they collaborate together is when they come up with some great music.

Pooh and LT ain't affiliated in my book.
Sneed came up under Death Row so yes.
But if you're trying to say that it sounds like team effort, rather than one of the many albums with hired stars. Then, yes you're right.  ;)
But it's far from from the first album like this Rap-A-Lot has been doing this since day one on their albums.

Right but I am talking about only DPGC related albums. Doggfather was really the first to do that. I guess for me I consider Pooh and LT affiliated because 1. LT said he was, 2. Pooh even said in a interview who was the best artist he liked to work with and he said Snoop. Snoop gave him creative control on the production side and credit along with Daz and they continued to work together after that. Same with Battlecat, he has put in waaaaay more work with DPGC then Pooh but at the very least I consider him a affilate. One I would definitely want on a Snoop album anytime.  ;D Do I rank Pooh and LT more family then say a Fred Wreck or Daz? No.

RAL no doubt has been doing it longer and Death Row albums all had this formula. I remember then pretty much all the DPGC members left DR and I said the only way they would survive is if they sticked together. And for the most part my favorite albums from the members that dropped album had a good amount of DPGC fam involved or heavy.

Pooh did beats on the Eastsidaz 2nd album and on Blue Carpet Treatment. Dogg Food and Doggystyle for the most part yeah but those 2 were more carried by Tha Dogg Pound and Snoop and Dre did most or all of the beats (sorry Daz lol). Those days of having 1 central producer are gone (even though Fred Wreck said he would love to do a solo album on Snoop). The only thing that came close to those albums, 1 producer, 1 rapper or group was Space Boogie. So for me as far as DPGC albums go they sound better as a collective effort.

What about DoggFood? Pooh worked and that as well...  :P

-LT,ohhh well he sort of became a DPG affiliate over time (as I see it)...
when Death Row and Ruthless crumbled,Snoop brought him on board.

-Pooh; nah... it was just those two albums (correct if I'm wrong)... and that was it.

-Battlecat; hell yeah.... he has been around for ages, but looks like he finally found is place with the DPG camp.

-Fred Wreck; No question,he needs to come back

Pooh did beats on the Eastsidaz 2nd album and on Blue Carpet Treatment.

I stand (half way) corrected  :P

Dogg Food and Doggystyle for the most part yeah but those 2 were more carried by Tha Dogg Pound and Snoop and Dre did most or all of the beats (sorry Daz lol).

So you believe the speculations that Dre did most of Daz´s shit on DoggFood?
It definitely sounds like Dre tweaked and added a lot of shit on top his things.  :P  ;)

Paris and The Coup still do their own shit...  ;)

I am only speaking on DPGC related albums, not other artists. Yeah I do think Dre did alot on Dogg Food. Daz probably did alot of beats but Dre mixed that whole album. And we all know how Dre mixes. Now looking at the credits of Doggfather even the tracks Daz produced on that Pooh did alot of mixing as well.
