i'll give you that crook shits on them lyrically and a better overall rapper but thats the thing, the best songs don't have to be all superb lyrics.  if he's with roscoe and eastwood then yeah he can stand out as the mc but it doesn't mean the other two won't show up strong on a song with him

and i can understand that with having ortiz, royce and budden they bring all their fanbases together which is a good thing but ultimately the best music will win the most fans in the end.  and in my opinion which might as well just be the facts is that they would make a much better album than slaughterhouse.  any westcoast production they would have would bump harder than what slaughterhouse has brought to the table thus far

why settle for only one type of rap when you can get the best of both worlds?

I'm not saying they don't, I'm just saying the majority of those songs would be in the Gangsta category than the Conscious one...  And if I had to choose one category it would be conscious.. That's why a more East Coast supergroup appeals to me more than a West Coast based one..  But Slaugherhouse is the best of both worlds like you say, cuz it's all regions and styles....  So what's your beef with them again?

I'm a huge West Coast fan but...what the fuck for? All of those dudes fell off big time. Everyone in Slaughterhouse is better than them as of right now. If Crooked I was going to do a West Coast Super-Group it should be with some cats like Game, Xzibit, and maybe Yukmouth or Techniec.

This is part of the problem with West Coast die hard fans. The whole "coastal mentality". Example: Dre needs to quit working with artists outside the West Coast and focus on the West more.

I've never heard this said about DJ Premier, Timbo, Just Blaze, or any other producer for that matter. They're all out there networking with each other regardless of regional affiliation.

Truth is, Crooked I reps the W all day every day, even as a member of SlaughterHouse. It shows in the pictures and videos that are scattered across the internet. So it ain't like he's abandoning the coast. He's finally playing it smart and linking up with other niggas (dare I say, smarter business men than him) who actually have experience in releasing albums and networking with BIG NAME people from producers, other artists and industry people in general. Crooked I is benefitting the most in this group as far as potential business contacts and expanding his fanbase goes.

What does Crooked bring to the SlaughterHouse table on the business side of things? He doesn't have BIG NAME people on the West Coast for them to network with. Example: Royce has DJ Premier, Black Milk, Diddy and numerous other niggas who are considered somebody in the industry. Joe Budden is tight with a lot of radio personalities, like Shade 45 DJ's, Hot97 DJ's. Joell Ortiz is like the East Coast Bun B. Everybody loves him. He's worked with everyone from legends to up-and-comers Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, KRS-One, Fat Joe, The Lox, Saigon and the list goes on and on. So what does Crooked bring? Dre, NO. Snoop, NO. Cube, NO. Power106, NO. KDAY, NO. Contacts with other underground artists on the West, YES. The only thing Crooked really brings to SlaughterHouse is his skill as an MC and maybe a handful of fans from the West who might actually support them.

Last but not least Budden, Ortiz & Royce have all released retail albums.

So who is benefitting the most in the group?

It's one thing to not like the group for whatever reason. That's your choice. But it's another to dismiss the potential that the group has when you really look at it from a holistic perspective being that they are multi-regional and each member does have a cult following. And you can't deny that they're buzzing like crazy on the underground circuit. Like Joey told Miss Info after the SOB's show, "this ain't about what Hip Hop needs, the fans out there tonight let us know that this is what Hip Hop wants."
