ok from what ive been able to find, is that there was a fight going on and PP and Tony Battie were at a club...PP tried to stop the fight and in the process got stabbed


Battie drove him to the nearest hospital and probably save his life in doing this!!!  damn.  my ex-room mate told me about the murder inc allegations, he knows his shit so i don't doubt him cuz i remember hearing the same things earlier too...im still trying to find more on that.

No. But we're talking about the Celtics of last season PLUS Kevin Garnett and Rasheed Wallace. I said Lakers #1, Celtics #2, Cavs #3 (if Boston gets Sheed). I have no doubts Lakers have the best roster. Expecially if they keep my man Odom (you know i've always supported him, and he finally proved it). But Celtics are #2, not #20.

nobody in the top 4,5 or even 6 teams is DISTANT when it comes to rankings.  This isnt MJ's Bulls teams we're talkin about.  The Lakers won the title, yes. But they werent even the number one team during the season, and had Garnett not gone down...maybe would not have even been # 2. Shit, if we didnt have the tons of injuries last year, we might have won over 60 games last yr lol. So you cant say this Lakers squad is in first place by very much. Even with Artest, theres just no telling what will happen with that.  And Sheed should be going to either the Celtics or Spurs. The Magic are in the mix too, but I dont think they will pull it off.

Thats cool if its your opinion. I said, the Lakers are the team to beat right now.  But I think you have a cluster at the top again when it comes to top teams.

i'm not concerned with the celtics next year. they remind me of the spurs 2 years ago. they're better in name than they are on a night to night basis. adding another aged hodge isn't going to reflect much in the playoffs.


-the cavs....like i said shaq is my favorite player but i call it how i see it and it's not going to make that much of a difference on a night to night basis as well. the cavs still needed that artest/ariza/ jefferson type player to get over the hump.

-the magic....in hind sight, they picked up carter....good pick up....in hind sight, they picked up carter....bad pick up. if they got to keep turk this would have been huge, but they're still in the same place they were in last year maybe even a little worse off.

-the spurs....should be interesting to see, they shed some age, and added an effective play making role player. but they're getting really thin in the paint. and you can't win a Larry O'brien trophy with out a solid post game....and aging duncan isn't going to take you there when you have gasol/odom/bynum down there. also you're not going to get there with parker/ginobili/jefferson  when artest and kobe are more than capable of shutting 2 of the 3 down. it's just not happening for them


the teams i'm scared of though

-the nuggets....they're still a scary team, they have the depth and talent to beat anyone. the only thing that's holding them back is their maturity and killer instinct. strengthen that, and they can still take it.

-the blazers, i would have been more scared if turk signed, but they're still scary enough to be in this category, everyone on that team is still reaching their prime. they're only going to get better.

could be. I think Sheed is gonna have a big effect on whether the Spurs or Celtics take over as the #2 team.  The Cavs should be good, but Im just not convinced Shaq will be a good fit with Lebron. We'll see though.  And yes, the Pistons could really put it together next year.
