All I'll say is that VY wins games.

You're right. I don't know how he manged to make the pass defense a threat again but he did it. I heard he rotates Mondays with McNair's kids one week and Cortland Finnegan the next. Ol' Cort had so much fun at Disneyland last Monday he decided to return a INT this week for the winning TD, and he did it for Vince.
LOL whatever man. The offense itself has gotten a lot better. Much more smoother. Just like Gage "decided" to have his best season game so far; no, that was because of Young's passing. 14ppg to 32 is no coincidence.

14 to 32 is too much of a jump for all your bullshit reasoning.

Look man, I like Young, but you're being unreasonable. He's not playing well enough to overturn any of those 6 losses, save maybe the Jacksonville game. The Steelers are the Steelers, they scored 31 on Houston and still lost, The Jets D was playing like champs in the first 3 weeks, and we both know Vince could have had consecutive perfect passer ratings against Indy and NE and Titans still lose that game.

What has my theory on QBs been during the whole Manning Brady debate? That QBs don't win or lose games. Why would I stray from that now. The Titans are simply playing better after the bye and getting humbled in New England probably had a lot to do with that. But they have two wins over a couple iffy teams, and next week they get to play a horrible Bills team. And looking st their schedule winning 6 of 8 or more isn't impossible, but that won't change my opinion that the best they could have done with Young in the first 6 weeks is 1-5. And I can't see what you can show me that would change my mind on that.

& all i'm saying is that, there was a good chance you would of won the last two weeks with Collins at the QB position.

like i said, the Steelers, Colts & Pats are 3 of the best teams in Football; they could beat anybody (besides the Saints ;D)

& the Jets are a tough team when the defense shows up.

so right there is four losses that i don't think Vince or Collins could of won.

if you win the rest of your games this season, i give you a 35% chance to make the playoffs; if you do that, i'll never say another word about Vince Young lol.

On another subject to teams that matter this year. The Pats have to play the Colts and Saints this month. Pretty tough run coming up for us.

stop saying Collins would have won these last 2 games; he lost to Jacksonville 37-17 lol. Part of the reason we're winning is because we're not turning it over.

Everythings changing with Young

Posted on November 8, 2009

SAN FRANCISCO Let me first say this about Titans quarterback Vince*Young:

The guy has been great in his first two starts, better than I — and I'm sure even his coaches — expected. He's been accurate, he's made good decisions, and he's playing with*confidence. As a result, the Titans have won two in a row and are playing with plenty of confidence as a*team.

But*I also must ask*this:

Where there heck was the Justin Gage who showed up here on Sunday during the first six weeks of the season? And some of the other suddenly sure-handed receivers for that matter?

Gage made two tremendous catches against the 49ers, including*one when he went up high to make a grab while being hit. It's been back-to-back solid games for Gage — with no*drops.

And, since Young took over as quarterback, I don't think the receivers have dropped a single*pass. Through the first six games, the Titans had several games where you needed two hands to count all the drops. Kerry Collins was quarterback then.

It's been quite a change, that much is for sure. The Titans and Young hope it continues.

i would say you might be a better team than the Colts, regardless of record.

the offense is coming into its usual self, the defense has given up an average of 13 points for the last 7 weeks & the Colts have lost Bob Sanders for the season.

unless my Jets catch some fire, i see you guys taking the AFC. :-X

Say that all u want, that doesn't bother me because i've come to terms with it about 3-4 weeks ago lol. All I want now is for VY10 to perform well and put up an amazing winning record, giving us a respectable record after an 0-6 start. That's more than enough for me ;D

The article is just more proof.

the article said that your WR's dropped countless passes, how can you blame that on Kerry Collins? lol

Because many of those passes weren't on the money. The whole team plays better with Young in; it's almost as if there more motivated. They prefer to be lead by him. And that means just as much as stats.

Okay, now you're being silly. As a passer throwing passes on the money, Vince Young is a sub-par QB that couldn't even make the CFL. He gets the job done because of his mobility but Kerry Collins can pass better than Young.

Why can't you just admit that the team was humiliated so much in New England that they decided to turn the whole thing around. And stop using the Jacksonville example. The first game Garrard played absolutely perfect throwing over 300 yards and 3TDs with no INTs. The second game the Titans D held him to under 150 with no TDs and two INTs.

Of course all it'll take is Buffalo's offense to show up for at least some first down next week and all that ends.

I'm not being silly, your just thinking of prior years instead of thinking these 2 starts. Has he been a sub-par QB in the past? Yes. Has he been great these past two games, throwing his passes on the money? Yes. If Kerry (current day -- not all time) can pass better than Young, he wouldn't be averaging more than 1 interception a game, when Young is averaging 0 (his only INT of the year came in that 59-0 loss in mop up duty).

Defensively your right about the Jacksonville game, but are you seriously going to 100% ignore the offensive showing in that game?

Big deal. He's been sub-par all year.

Lunatic; Yes, Vince Young in the past two games has played better than Collins in the previous 6. Collins only role was be the safe QB that doesn't make mistakes while the team wins with defense and running. He couldn't do that this year, and the team couldn't do that this year either.

Now they're playing with no stress, and no worries. They have nothing to lose. I just want you to tell me how it's conceivable that they'd be more than 1-5 in before the bye with Young instead of Collins. The better QB play falls short when compared to the upgraded run game and pass D. They've opened up like 3 50+ yard TD runs for Johnson and have picked off more pass in the last two games than the last 6 before that.

All I'm saying is you're overstating Vince Young's involvement. Yes he's better than Collins. He was always better than Collins, but the team was terrible in the first 6 games and Peyton Fucking Manning wouldn't have changed that so how do you expect me to say Vince Young would have?
