I honest to God think this CD is good.  I think its great actually.  I loved the promos and I love this ish.  I just listened to it from beginning to end a few minutes ago and I just found myself singin a long and head bobbin to every song.  Its hot ish.

Also, its really odd that THIS board who is all on Snoops dick is hating on this album, while SOHH is giving the album overall very high marks.  Muy interesante.
I only gave you the crown, so I could shoot it off your fucking head-Suge

Refer to me as your highness or dont refer at all

TOP DOGG is a fuckin tight album even without just dippin and buck em, the 2 dj quick produced tracks (hit rocks and doin too much) are off the hook. Top dogg is the most west coast influenced snoop dogg album after doggystyle.

It's DJ QUIK

Aww crap. Now y'all got me so not-hyped. But these kinds o' threds were posted when y'all had your first listens of Man vs. Machine and I actually liked the album. (Not classic or anything, but good.) Still, there's always Ghetto Heisman. (HOW FUCKIN' LONG IS IT GONNA TAKE FOR THE FUCKIN' POST OFFICE TO GET THAT RECORD HERE?!?!?!)

OK OK OK, I couldnt resist and had to head over to VH1 and had to listen a few (like 3 or 4)  30 secs samples :-[  :-[  :-[  :'(

My opinion. Those tracks Ive heard so far, I like them, I think they are goood. Very different. I think the problem with you guys is that you expected another Doggystyle, the same ole gangsta shit and the classic west coast beats we all love. Hell yea who didnt. But I think thats the good thing about it, he changed his style again and came with somthing completely different and new. He's reppin the west in his own way. I cant hate on this album cause it has alot of dope and original tracks. ANd seriously, the audience (except wcc) is tired of that west coast Gangsta shit from 93, that stuff is not popular anymore so he's gotta come with new things and I gotta give him props for that. It reminds me of the Last Meal cause it wasnt west coast to the fullest, but it was fresh, so give it some time

The biggest issue I have with this, is how good it COULD have been, with all the tracks he had laying around.
I can't believe that these tracks didn't make the album:

Twenty Minutes II feat. Goldie Loc
Whatever feat. E-White
Fo real produced by Meech Wells (Ain't that right Myrealname?)
It's the D.O.G. feat. E-White (They threw this away on some other CD)
Pimp On feat. Eastsidaz

Add a Eastsidaz-track or two, and Bad Azz, Warren G & Daz instead of Ludacris & Jay-Z, and 3 Dre-cuts, and this could have been SO good.
And why oh why doesn't he rap over the "The boss would like to see ya"-beat??

I'm usually a fan of both Jay-Z & Ludacris, but they do NOT belong on a Snoop-cd for the sake of sales!! (Even if Ludacris came nice)
Redman was ok too, but for a dude who has been a Redman-fan for several years and buys his albums, he really didn't impress me on this one.

I admit to be defending Neptunes, but NOT on a Snoop-CD.
They're supposed to produce for Noreaga, Jay-Z & Clipse.
I think Neptunes directly POLUTED this CD, and their work on Jay-Z's album was also sub-par. I think I've heard 90% of all Neptunes-production, but this is the worst in a long while.
Premier is dope, JellyRoll is aight, but Neptunes doesn't belong on a Snoop-CD.

And King-Suge: No wonder they like this album on SOHH, as this album is made for the Eastcoast.

WHATEVER is not featuring E-White 1°
That track is wack to me and i'm happy is not on the album, but the others listed are tight as fuck and like the ones on the last meal promo, are better than the ones on the final version.
ITs the d.o.g. is feat. bishop don juan

Y'all fools are funny as hell,  how the hell you gonna judge a album listening to it through computer speakers?  But I dont know what yall what expecting,  It seems like ya'll mad cuzz yall already herd most of it, but what does that have to do with it being a good album?  Ya'll mad cuzz trey dee, daz and blah blah blah aint on there but its not their album.  If you wanna hear Trey Dee go get the general list.  If you wanna hear Daz go get life I lead.  If you wanna some snoop get paid the cost.

Whats worse is the ones who is letting other people make they mind up for them.  talking about "I dont think Im going to like it"  dont let someone else make they mind up for you,  Make your own decission.  Wait till you hear the CD with some heavy bass behind it and and you hear all the sounds in the beats than make up your mind if its wack or if its tight.

and teceee you said you like 8 songs, than thats a good album,  if look at it  doggystyle had 12 good songs, top dogg had about 5, last meal had about 4, so you cant say it's the worst,   I dont care what nobody says this is his best CD besides Doggystyle.  BET said it's his best but I dont agree with that.  It kinda reminds me of what OUTKAST did in the south with all that different type of music,  of course I dont feel every joint on the album, but I dont feel every song on just about any album except for a few.

I feel the same way

& alot of people don't like it because they already heard songs like "ballin" "bossplaya" "paperd'up" ...., whats wrong with those tracks ??? I really have no idea, they r tight

Its nice album 4/5, better than last meal imo
