Best Snoop best rap's since Doggystyle on "Da Boss"
« on: November 21, 2002, 12:29:34 AM »
Many vets of this board will know that while everyone was riding Snoop Dick i was out there speakin the truth how since 1995-1996 his rhymes & flow had gone wack

While "Da Boss" album is more R-N-B & Snoop still does some of his bitch noises (Ohhh ahhh, heres another one ahhhhhh etc etc), his voice, rhymes & flow was the the closest to old hard vicious Snoop Doggy Dogg we all used to know & love

Maybe its because he has stopped hitting the weed, he is more alert & more hungryu i supose to show he can make it without Dre.

I think this might be Snoop's best album since Doggystyle but it's too early to tell...Let's see what everyone thinks of this album a year from now...I remember how excited I was when I bought Doggfather the day it came out and then after listening to it once I thought WTF is this garbage?...Now 6 years later its one of my favorite albums...

U are on point with that,I will have to listen to this album when i get it very well b4 i make any comment on it,'cuz like someone says snoop is like wine he's always getting better .His flow is really close to that of the doggystyle dayz.(that comment is base on the 2 track i have listen to).

i think people that don't like the album are not likeing it because of the beats, i haven't heard one person talk shit about snoops flow

now lets see what the fuck is a westcoast beat these days g-funk is overwith for the most part and most people don't wanna hear that...........half of this cd was produced by westcoast producers the one thing that hasn't changed is that snoop has stayed true to the funk! and remember when in the skit of the doggfather he says that he ain't about beats?  snoop can rock the mic over any beat and he has always stayed funky, i'm just glad his flow was on piont

well its a little improvement...he still...just kinda slowly talks too much at times(something i think he got from a lot of no limit artists)...to mention his flow in the same sentence as his flow on doggystyle is a joke

na homie i wasn't talking about myself, i love g funk, my piont was people outside this board and outside of hardcore dpg fans don't really wanna hear it, and what i'm talking about too is that no one on the west outside of warren is making gfunk, so what is the westcoast sound now? this is the new funk and i'm fine with it personally............i do miss that good ol gfunk though!

man if dre, daz, warren, soopafly, and fred put together all the beats for this album and made it strictly g funk and westcoast, I woul bet a million dollars that it would be more popular than what he has now.

Go tell that to idiots like Jome. Seems he can't understand this

Yes I agree look i said its the closest (minus a few freestyles) Snoop has been to it for a long time

I honestly dont mind alot of beats some are great like Stoplight, Chucchhh, Batman & Robin, The One & Only & Beatiful, whereas theres a few songs were they lyrics rock but the beat doesnt, like pimp slapped (the best is OK, definately not the worst on the album)

All i'm saying is this album is a step in the right direction, & who knows, maybe this will be the first Snoop Dogg album original i'll get since Doggystyle (Excluding the Doggfather, as i had the original but sold it).

I used to give Snoop so much disses for his crap for a while, too me it seemed like he was unmotivated & just bought some good beats with his $$$ to call himself dope, now that I think he has stopped smoking weed & is no longer the most "in" thing these days like he was in 2000, he is getting hungry to do some good shit & prove he is more than Dre's boy
