UNDER THE INFLUENCE is at least 10 times better than this new one snoop dogg album.
I agree 100%

I've always liked Snoop an' I'm feelin' the new album, but there's no doubt that he's not even close to what he used to/can be.

I think the reason Paid the Cost is getting reviews is becasue of the Eastcoast influences............really, all of the hiphop media where everyone is seeing these reviews is east coast oriented, so of course they are gonna like the Premo tracks and Lollipop.  Also, considering the Neptunes are EVERYWHERE, it seems like its a rule that you cant have a good album nowadays without them.

If you replaced the two Premo songs with a soopalfy track and a Meech track, this album would be receiving horrible ratings from all these reviewers who usually shit on Snoop.  In reality, this album is likely a 3 or 3.5 (at best) outta 5....not a bad album, but most 'diehard" snoop fans expect more.

And FUCK EVERYONE who is saying that the people who dont like this album are just mad cuz it aint like Doggystyle 2!  I mean seriously, do you think i would still consider Snoop relevant if i only liked his one album which dropped almost 9 years ago?  I have loved Doggfather, NL TOp Dogg, and Last meal was dope too.........DOggfather is classic and the others had POTENTIal if there were a few changes.  Paid the COst has no potential to make a huge mark, it just is what it is, a solid album with NOTHING at all spectacular.

I agree, Doggystyle allstars and Paid the Cost have truly changed my opinion of Snoop; he is a great artist, but it is now evident that he has a terrible ear for music and doesn't know the difference between a wack song or beat and a dope one.  The first Snoop related release i didnot buy was Doggstyle Allstars, and i never thought i wouldnt be excited to buy a Snoop album the day it came out..............

man this album is to put Snoop Dogg on top thats why the cd is east coast influenced  if the album was straight west coast then only WEST COAST fans would be happy and world wide peeps would consider this as a  Last Meal 2 ..This Album got anything on it : love songs, club banger , party track ..diss track... this album got a lil bit of everything its a versatile record ..if it was Straight WestCOast nobody would pay attention to it and if the first single was produced by Soopafly or Daz well it would've fuck up the album and again only die hard fans would be happy.
Snoop is makin albums for everybody not only for Di Hard fans that still dream about another DOGGYSTYLE its 2002 the game aint the same...the sound aint the same and thats why West Coast Artist dont sell  its because the keep using the same sound wich its a decade old so only West COast fans will be happy about it because They been listening to that shit forever but outside the West who would play a track by Mc Eiht or Rappin 4 tay in the club NOBODY because their sound dont match with the flava of this time . So about Snoop rappin over Neptunes or Hi Tek beats its great because it aint about East/West now its about Good music and makin new sound (Jelly roll. Fredwreck)

the new snoop record got too much eastcoast influence. snoop comes dope, but the music isnt westcoast enough. if i wanna hear eastcoast, i buy eastcoast. damn...snoop is westcoast. i dont care about sales etc., i wanna hear snoop over hot westcoast beats.

I don't use the word dickrider a lot, however, I have to say that I've noticed quite a few in this thread.  People are jumping all over other people who aren't even bashing Snoop.  I find it quite funny that some of you can't stand to see anything remotely negative towards Snoop.

Snoop & Dre got me into hip-hop, I got every Snoop album (except this one, just downloaded it so far) & both Eastsidaz albums, I'm a fan of his.  It's not like I want to be let down and I'm not expecting a "Doggystyle 2"  but I want an album where I'm not so anxious to hit the fast-forward button half the time.

Sorry that I can admit that one of my fav. artists could improve his work.

finally some reason on this board....there for a while a lot of peeps where saying this album is great....look at dubcnn's review ....its garbage...this album is his worst...i burned it listened to it for two days..and seriously will probably never listen to it again..not even for one track...cause there isnt even on good song..thats really really bad...not good...worst than doggystyle allstars
