Warren G still has the best Westcoast album within the last year

So I get home today from shopping and I jump on my computer, I play some video games, jump on the computer, eat some lunch and now I'm back. So anyway, I was in the mood for some good music, so I go to my cd rack and look under the "W's" ... I see WC, Westside Connection, and then I see my Warren G albums. I think, yea, I'm in the mood for some Warren G , so I look  through all his albums and I decide to pop in Return Of The Regulator. I loved, and I mean I loved this album last year. I banged it from front to back so many times that I kinda wore myself out with it. I haven't touched it since April or something. So I start listening and wow, once again I'm hooked. Dope shit , Butch Cassidy dropped some tight ass hooks in this album and Warren, man he has the ability to flow so well and damn he does it so well. Within the last year, no one has really brought anything good to the west, but I think Warren has had the best album. Even to Snoop, Warren out did him here and Mista Grimm can really put words together. I love his rhyme with "osteoperosis" ... wtf? lol .... anyway, Warren brought some club bangers and some real shit. Young Locs is probably the dopest real life song I've heard from the west. Warren drops his mind on that track and WC does good too. I'm just here to say that yes, Warren brought some dope shit with the album and I'll probably be banging this album till next April

Warren G was solid, i woulda like more lyricly, production wise it was straight,
WC came out this year but I would pick Dub over Warren, WC put in some work on Ghetto Heisman, he kept it street and he kept it street on Def Jam, I woulda thought he woulda changed being on WC, but nah WC represented well.

um...this album was coo...but not close to the best...i personally thought Crip Hop was much better...that was probably the best album of 2001...to me...and i like the new W.C. much more too...

i thought W.C. was better and im currently hooked on bumping it all the time but Ghetto Heisman is the best west coast album since Rotr.

Album wasn't as good as "I Want It All."  I think his last LP showed he needs to re-formulate his sound.  You can't go with one sound forever and think you can survive.  The raps on ROTR were weak as well.

Crip Hop & Ghetto Heisman isn't touching ROTR.

I also try to cut down on the ROTR-listening, cuz I'm afraid to get tired of it.

Yup, very true. Warren really seems to be riding that g-funk car til the axles break. It's coo he's staying true to a sound he helped to bring in, but as an artist it doesnt show much depth or vision. I mean, just look at the album cover.

I agree that Young Locs Slow Down was a BANGER but apart from that there wasn't much on there that broke any new ground for me.

i guess im just the only person who is not a huge warren g fan...the beats were so so...and his lyrics were pretty shitty for my taste...Crip Hop was just an all around banger...plus Jayo stepped up his game alot...and cmon Ghetto Heisman has nothin but bangers...only song i dont really like is Tears Of A Killa...but even that songs pretty tight...only songs on Return Of The Regulator i bump are the ones with Mista Grimm and CPO...thats really all i think it had

Jeez, is it possible to say that "Crip Hop" had better beats than ROTR?
That's like cursing in church.
Now I admit the lyrics wasn't top notch, but neither was Crip hop..
But Butch Cassidy, Mista Grimm made it a enjoyable album.

Thats exactly what I think ..Im Bumpin "I Want It All" everyday thats G Funk at his best (dont sleep on that one) Return of Regulator was aiight but weird at the same time also the fact that Dr.Dre gave him the Sticky Fingaz beat for his first single fucked up his album and his career (Universal kicked him out ) .His situation is similar to Dj Quik though "Rhythm-Al-Ism " was the last album that came successful ..I remember the video for "Hand N Hand" was tiight as fuck after that album his style became to change and ARISTA (one of the biggest label of the industry) asked him to only produce track for the label .after that none of his album was a success  

anyway the best west coast cd at the moment is "Ghetto Heismen"

I think ROTR is his best since g funk era... but I find it very funny reading these posts.... a lot of people are saying that Warren needs to change his sound and get off the g funk wagon.... then you go to a snoop thread and people diss him cause he has switched his style.... its funny
