imo mainstream hip hop is dead, the difference between mainstream and underground is widening, but there is still PLENTY of quality hip hop out there, you just need to know where to look

That would be giving them far too much credit.

hiphop as a culture will always be good, the true shit of course,but say these artist you like sign to majors and then the majors don't like they music and put a hold on them,and you have lupe and big boi situations is where the shit is bad at,the award shows shit like that succs, and equals should be open to more artist then just a select few,take a crate digger mentality and seek out a gang of shit and let people know about it, yell
People complain too much. There are so many dope new hip hop artists putting out a plethora of quality music. J. Cole, Big K.R.I.T., Nipsey Hussle, Jay Rock, Freddie Gibbs, Pill, etc.And all these artists are CONSTANTLY putting out new music. And (not my style) some love Curren$y, Smoke DZA who put put a lot of music too.
