He's actually gotten progressively better with the last three albums.

Agreed. I'm really enjoying "Recovery".

I agree, although I don't mind Recovery, i still think The Eminem Show was his best.

If every album in mainstream was bad as eminem's,hip hop would be in much better place. but we got what we got.

Encore is the shit!  snuff a barrel if you don't see the brilliance.

Recovery is great marketing.  I've never seen a hip-hop artist turn face that quick on his work just to appease his fan base.  It worked too.  Yeah, Relapse was all over the map and missed several scores with too much poor joke-esque material but it wasn't the tremendous piece of shit he's made it out to be.  Shit even someone like 50 who's all about dollars hadn't jumped ship on his own material to win back fans.  Recovery is a great album as a reflection to devotion to fame.  Half of the album is him pleading to his fan base & hip-hop related community and other half is some minor inspection of his life.  Either way I like about half of it.

Alas, numbers count and Eminem is king supreme to this.

Encore had a handful of good tracks but overall was a poor effort, Relapse we don't even need to discuss again how wack the accent was on almost every song, and Recovery is not a hip hop album it is a pop album (that I can say is decent for what it is, better than Drake's)

I hate when people call a rap album "pop" cuz of a few hooks with singers on it...fuck outta here

N'sync= pop

eminem= rap

theres a huge fuckin difference between pop and rap

I'm not calling the album a pop album because it has Pink, Rihanna and Lil Wayne on it, just listen to the music itself even when it's just Eminem SOLO and the style of most of the production on the album

I didn't say there was anything wrong with it being a pop album (but Eminem is a HORRIBLE singer), I just don't classify it with SSLP, MMLP, Eminem Show, etc. which are actual hard rap, hip-hop albums... slow ya roll homie  8)

and Drake, Eminem, Kanye West, Jay-Z, etc. are still rappers but are also POP as in "popular music", even 50 was at one time  ;)

it's a hillybilly pop album by a hip hop artist, the beats and hooks all were made for a pop crowd not hip hop, the same way a hammer album was made,just em is a legit mc,but be honest about these beats,they were made to shake the rumps of beccy,brad,and jethro, hillybilly pop, and relapse had some ill beats yell
