streets iz a mutha question
« on: December 26, 2010, 08:54:20 PM »
is it true that only a very limited amount of discs had the bonus cut callin out names on it? some dude on ebay is tryin to sell a copy for 500 bucks claimin that they pulled the track after a few copies of the album were pressed. is there any truth to that? cause i thought all copies had the callin out names after the live on the mic bonus cut as mine does?? also, on doggystyle g'z up hoez down was cut early, does anyone know the number of discs the song made it onto? and what do they sell for cause i got a couple. any info appreciated.

I beleive that they did stopped selling the actual album with track on it.... I bought that album a few years ago hoping for it to have that song on it but it didn't have it... That song is my favorite one in that cd to.... I know that on iTunes it's on there... Or maybe if you try fye in the used aldum section you might find it there...

Some people go insane with that. I can understand marking it up a little because it's somewhat rare but this dude's basically pricing himself out of the market.

I don't have "Callin Out Names" on my version, but i dont think that version is very rare though. 500 dollars for it is a bad joke.

Like Doggystyle with "G'z Up, Hoez Down" back in 1993, I also own tha cassette version of "Streetz Iz A Mutha" with "Callin Out Names". I have them both on CD now as well.

Why spend all that money when you can just get it off Itunes for 8 bucks or just about anywhere else on the net for free.

It's funny cause out here (in France), all the copies I've come across contain Callin' Out Name. I guess the song was a bonus for european copies. Anyway there are also different versions among the editions containing calling out names. My friend's version contains a 4:05 minutes long Tha Streetz Iz a Mutha song with some kid saying "back the fuck up... n!##@!" while mine is only 3:48 minutes long and you can only slightly hear the child's speaking at the beginning of "Can't Trust Nobody". What versions do you all own??
