emmit smith played behind the best offensive line ever PLUS with Troy Aikmen and the Playmakervery over rated as a candidate for GOAT

Did he not have great players around him, and you don't really hear people using that against him when people call him the GOAT.

He was averaging over 2 yards per carry before even being touched. He was very overrated. But I also hate how people are so quick to crown Jerry Rice the greatest WR ever. WR is the most dependant position on the field and Jerry had Montana and Young throwing the ball to him. He was great. But he SHOULD have been great. Compare that to what a receiver like Tim Brown did with QBs like Todd Marijuanavich and Jay Shraeder throwing him the ball

You could argue Ride the greatest WR no doubt. He could do it all, but if had been on the Bucs and had been just as good he would not have had 3 rings, woulkd not have lead the league in yards and TDs 6 times and if let's say Steve Largent or Art Monk had been the #1 in San Fran they may not have reached #1 player all time status but they may have been ranked just as high as where Rice ended up.Where as Jim Brown was doing what every other back was doing, except he did it so much better he has to be the best.

Yeah, Jim Brown was a beast. I still have Sanders as the best running back ever. He was just insane....playing for a shitty Detroit Lions team. I can only imagine what he would have done with that Cowboy O-line that Emmitt got to run behind.
Jerry Rice is up there in ever yreocrd-most yards in a season (1800 something)-second most TDs in a year (22 in a 12 game year...randy moss has 23 in a 16 game year)-most yards all time-most TD all timeetc
