when u have 500 posts u can "diss" or give "props" to people.

it shows under your name, and should reflect what the board thinks of you

Basically to me it seems it's something ppl worry about too much. When on the other hand they should be glad that they got negative or positive karma 'cause it means that other people have actually taken the time to read what they have posted and actually formulate an opinion on it. Better to recieve some karma (-/+) than to have what you have typed up totally ignored.
