Anyone know how exactly Dre and Warren G are related?

I remember in Snoop's autobiography he explained it, but it didn't make any sense.  He said that Dre's father was married to Warren G's mom.  Then after that Dre's father went and married Dre's mom.

But Dre is older than Warren G?  So that doesn't make any sense

They're not blood related. I may be wrong, but I remember watching the Dr. Dre Behind the Music special, and I don't think Dre's father was around, his mother had him at 16 and she would go on to marry Warren's father which made them stepbrothers.

Actually, it's only two. Many of them are worded differently but outside of 187_skillz' explanation, they are all correct. Dre and Warren are step brothers which means their parents (Dre's mom, Warren's dad) were married but they don't share any blood relation.

True, it's still a mystery I'm assuming Warren was probably around 8 when his father married Dre's mother so the question is if they all stayed in the same househood? in Compton or in Long Beach? who knows. On an unrelated note, Nate Dogg isn't Snoop's cousin. People need to stop citing wikipedia as their source, I mean I do it too but it's not a definite source. I remember when y'all conducted an interview with RBX and mentioned Bootsy Collins as his father lol see gotta be careful, even Larry King cited wiki and referred to Nate as Snoop's cousin. I would say wiki isn't really reliable for Hip Hop facts, but everything else is pretty accurate

Reading the replies I still don't see any straight, reliable answer.

And Nate is definitely not Snoop's cousin.  In Snoop's biography Snoop said he met Nate because they had gym class and were partners in Science lab class their sophmore year in highschool.   Warren G didn't like Nate Dogg at first and was jealous of him, because Warren G wanted to maintain his spot as Snoop's #1 best friend and felt like Nate was a threat to that; so Snoop said he had to sit them both down or something, and cool them out so that they could get down to making some music and becoming a crew as 213.
