"Relapse" didn't have any hits, it barely had any decent songs. The only reason why it sold waz becuz it was Eminem and Dr. Dre, there really was no other reason why that album is successful (not hating either). Like I literally haven't heard anybody playing that shit til this day (even when it 1st came out). That album was just an excuse for Dre to get back all of his money from all of those "Detox" sessions they paid for.

Dre doesn't decide if something is s classic , the public does. So if he never puts anything out how is he going to know if its a classic or trendsetting

So you theory about his so called quality control goes right out the window. Dre produced "Relapse" and the album had hit singles, right? Well, not big "hit" singles but still the shit sold really well.We made you and crack a bottle were hits

The blood gang embraces Tupac as a member even if YOU dont.
Too many haters at this forum complaining about Dre not releasing Detox or Dre not releasing albums from Rakim or Raekwon or the dozens of other artists and album projects that got caught up in red tape and never came out.But Dre has integrity that other artists in the game don't have. He's not like Master P and gonna sell out or release another album every week just cause he's a big name like P did in 98. Or the way Puffy was selling himself just cause he had a big name.Dre said he only puts shit out if its trendsetting, and that he wants to set the standard any time he puts something out.So unless Detox is classic and gonna blow up, he's not putting it out.And because of that, Dre has always maintained his integrity, respect and reputation. Therefore when he slaps his name on a set of headphones now he is reaping all the benefit from the name and reputation he has perserved over the years. The success of his headphones are proof that he's always been right on his decisions and the haters dont know what the fuck they are talking about.
