Once and for all: MATW, AEOM, or 7 Day Theory??
« on: February 01, 2003, 01:52:50 AM »
I want everyone to vote on this shit......EVERYONE......

I know some people will think another one of pac's albums is the best, but these 3 albums are considered by a overwhelming majority to be his best.....the question is, which one of these three masterpieces is indeed his best??

I say 7 Day Theory. IMO, it is the greatest album of all time.

They're all sooooo close in quality, all classics (3 in a row to be exact, thats amazing!), but my personal fav. has always been AEOM.

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

"Me Against The World" - it's easily his best album.

"7 Day Theory" is his best. Ever since I heard it all tha way through, I hardly ever listen to AEOM.

For me it has always been Me Against The World. The real Pac was shown on this album. Could we prehaps have the whole thing cleared up with this topic so that we don't have these threads like once every few months.

Damn right. Best for me is MATW - Pac put his heart and soul into that - it's intelligent, varied, soulful; everything that the plastic sound of AEOM lacks. 7 Day Theory is such a close second it's not even funny, but I'd still rather listen to Strictly 4 My... over AEOM anyday.

All Eyez on Me...That was Pac at his best, I don't think there's ever been an album with so many dope songs and beats on it...Easily the best double album of all time, and one of the best period...

for me 7 day theory hands down.  That album is so tohcing and inspirning to me, I can listen to it right the way through and every word and every song will touch me in a way.  The thing is about the album its all on the same level and every song is dope and all the tracks sound like they have been made 1 after another.  So all the songs are in the same mood and shit. A great album.

All Eyez On Me. It was his most diverse album. It showed his versatility because he had covered almost every single topic. He had emotional songs, political songs, party songs, gangster songs, etc. The greatest double album ever. When it came out it was monumental.

I cant belive the hate that AEOM is getting in this thread.......

Even though I voted for 7 Day Theory, AEOM is still a classic, and one of the greatest albums ever recorded......out of all his albums, it is the most influential and impactful. It is the blueprint on how to make a an album......no album held the balance between commercial appeal and hardcore hip hop like AEOM did. It changed THE WAY cats recorded their albums........It is his most complete album, as it has everything: hardcore songs, deep songs, club joints, lyrical songs, classic collaberations, etc etc.....even rappers TODAY use this album as a blueprint for making their own albums........Ambitionz Az A Ridah ALONE has been sampled three times in the past year.....also, before this album came out, it was thought you had to be MC Hammer to push those kinda units. Pac changed that....

Despite all that, I still voted for 7 Day Theory. It didnt have the impact on the game that that AEOM had, but it is Pac's strongest work, statement wise. From top to bottom, there is no filler, and Pac stepped up his song writing and lyrics on this album. Lyrically, this album destroys any of his other albums, including MATW and AEOM. The production was differnent, but still bangin......Pac was way ahead of his time on this album.......it caught alot of hate when it came out, because it went over peoples heads.....now, almost 7 years later, almost everyone calls it a classic......It took cats almost 7 years to catch on, to see how brilliant this album really is.....I knew it was a classic the first time I heard it.......
