I think all these kind of polls are bullshit anyway, it always comes down to whos the most popular or who has the most fan base.

Hands down 2pac would win (or come in the top 3) of any kind of hip hop vote no matter what it was

no he wouldnt, every rapper from Death Row (except Daz), would eat him up in a battle, pre-written or off-the-dome.  i dont care how "charismatic" he is wit his loud screamy voice. Pac was never hiphop like that

[/quote]

You miss read what i said,
i said that due to his fanbase he will be voted in the top 3 everytime due to the ammount of fans he has....no matter what the vote was for!

Thats why i also said "these polls are bullshit" because of that reason....its just down to who has the most fans that vote

verstehen??

i disagree,
syllables shouldn't be a criteria if u want to evaluate a decent m.c.. its not necessarirly important,

rappers wit tons of syllables tend to be messy, n all over the place wit the bars. syllables are usually used by rappers who r havin a hard time coming up wit a poignant  flow, thats why they r riding on syllables.

i love Kool G Rap to death, but im thankful that rappers generally are leaning on punchlines and lyrics overall, instead of syllables n wordplay

my 2 cents
I agree that syllables alone don't make a rapper better, but it's still a factor to consider.  It's the ability to do that while making it work, which is why some rappers who can do a lot of syllables can get messy, but there are more than a few who can do it and get it right while still having a nice flow.

I watch a lot of battle rap leagues, and it's really where you're going head-to-head and trying to out-do someone else (instead of just trying to make a catchy song like regular rappers), and a lot of those guys are on point.

I'll say this...a rapper who can use multi syllables without forcing the rhymes and while saying something meaningful is fucking sick. But there's so few that can do that consistently. I mean Crooked I uses multi syllables a lot but its always in his freestyle. If you look at his best songs, like Let Me Buy You a Drink, there's hardly any multis at all. That's because the story and concept of the song is more important. To me, that's much more lyrical than a freestyle of him spitting multis about his gun and how he's like 2Pac.

Cool.  Funny how a lot of dudes on this forum were convinced that Pac didn't stand a chance because they felt that white people would mostly just vote for Eminem.

Maybe not all the time, but Crooked has said stuff like that before...

"Young jacker/ Gucci hat tilted, gun-clapper/ I'm every artist Suge ever signed in one rapper"
"Nigga, I'm able to disable your crew/ 'Cause I'm in my prime like Pac when he took the label from you"

etc.

True Pac probably has the most loyal diverse fanbase crossing all race groups more so than any other rapper, he was doing something right

Hardwork does pay off if anything

I luv the fact that a rapper who repped the west went and conquered the world

If you think the greatest rapper of all time is the one who has quotables such as "ill bisexually reck ya", "im out the closet i been lyin my ass off, all this time me and dre been fuckin with hats off", "bend over and take it like a slut, okay mom" then hiphop has been nothing short of a failure. If thats the case, Tyler the Creator > Nas. Lil B > Jay-Z.

"mom i love you i drink  henesie im ride on my enemies", "in the club with bitches drinking henesie bust shoots on my enemies" etc.

No one said he's wack, so don't get all emotional. I'm just saying that he has compared himself to Pac, whereas you insisted otherwise.
