at the time this reviewed horribly, how do you rate it now? a complete failure at cross coastal fertilisation or a good listen?

Production wise this is ok. The movie style skits are Daz at the top of his production game.

Lyrically it's garbage tho.

it's not like ppl listen to daz for his profound lyrics

actually it's pretty decent for what it is, strip club music, a lot of beats knock, i wish daz would have saved the best tracks for so so gangsta

i got it on cd but i ain't listen to since 3 or 4 years
i was a disapointed, but i will not say that daz was wack he try to do something different he got the right, if someone like snoop or daz want to go rock or ragga, he can try he's an artist
the only song that i remember was dope is the one with Yo Gotti

Bullshit. Garbage. Failure of epic poportions.

Just because music gradually gets worse doesnt mean yesterdays trash is suddenly gold. This will always suck, same with snoop's first no limit album that people suddenly like in comparison to his recent shit.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/xZ7vHHt7l_g" target="_blank" class="new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/xZ7vHHt7l_g</a>

typical Daz beat, i think he used the same structure as Shit Happens on Dilli & Gotti, the daz owl impersonations in the background (that he does every now and then), flow on point. decent hook. good collabo.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZR2Py7YhNok" target="_blank" class="new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/ZR2Py7YhNok</a>

i understand ppl dat don't like dat song but it's not really horrible, lackluster may be the word, still the song is decent enough for what it is. and it also that typical daz production style (eerie background synth). daz's performance is quite good.

don't get me wrong it's not a good, cohesive album. but if you like daz and dig his production style & flow, you're likely to like half of tracks. which makes it a rather decent album. production it's good though, but Daz sings too much, and some times does his nelly impersonations lol.

i think it had mainstream appeal considering the major trends in the rap game that were being followed in the game at the time. and the best tracks still had daz's style. IMO he would have saved the best tracks from this project, the best tracks from DPGC U Know What I'm THrowing Up, the best tracks from the So So Def Mixtape  and released the whole as an album on So So Def in 05. i think Now Dat's Gangsta & the one og version (feat. Cee Lo & T.I.) was supposed to be on So So Gangsta.

i thought i was the only person who heard that shit...i thought he was trying to sound like a pack of wolves or some shit but i knew he was on some rustic shit.

other stupid daz adlibs include yawning, sighing, stretching, exhaling smoke and assorted alarm noises (whooop whoop whoop)
