It's now 2013 and been checkin dubcc since it's inception. I've noticed a pattern over the years: people rehash and talk about the same west coast shit over and over and over and over again like they ain't got nothing else to talk about. This leads me to believe that since we're still talking about shit that happened in the 90s, for 13+ years now, maybe it's time to let the West REST IN PEACE.I mean dam, you look at the topics in this forum and peeps still talking about 2pac- Strictly for my Niggaz, peeps still all got their DPG bootleegs that they covet and hide, still got the same Snoopy and DRE avatars... just leads me to believe the West might really be dead. I mean Snoop abandoned rap, Dre ditched his album, 2pac's been dead for 15+ years, but we still here acting like the West is gonna make come back, or be big again. I just checked Billboard top 200 and the only WEST rapper in the top 40, is Kendrick. And that's a one-off, a fluke... When was the last time a West rapper had a big one? Dam it's sad to see the west expire ... I was at the Up in Smoke Tour, live, now I ain't got nothing new to even blow smoke too. EDIT: We got Game, but dam, he ain't nowhere as big as he used to be....The west was such a giant in the 90s, but it's time to let it die. It ain't never comin back, REST IN PEACE.
west coast rap didn't really die it just went back 2 the underground, let New York or the South have the Radio and TV it's nothing but watered down bullshit anyways. The only 1s affected by the west no pumping out product beyond the local scene are the outta state peoples and mostly the Euros.
Actually, the West hasn't been as cracking as now since 99-2001 probably.Kendrick LamarTygaScHoolboy QDom KennedyProblemIamSuHopsinDizzy WrightE-40Odd FutureAb-SoulCasey VeggiesPac DivClyde CarsonThe West hasn't seen this type of diversity and popularity in a long time, definitely not since dubcnn launched. The only comparison would be Game coming out in '05 but that was all Game-hype, and Hyphy movement was cracking too but limited to the Bay.

Even with that line up (Which is questionable imo) we still aint doing shit in the over all industry. Like I said we holding our region down which is just fine with me, because I couldn't give a fuck what they play on the otherside of the country because I'm not there. The people who want everything to dominate the radio/TV got no life. Fuck The Radio any good track gonna be censored, and TV can eat shit and die because of YouTube. Rappers stop giving a fuck about BET (not even gonna mention MTV because they don't play shit) long time ago, every video I've seen is uncensored since they started doing that.
All this talk about up and comers and the HORSESHOE GANG is again missed. That is what is wrong with the west, people don't hear quality muzik even if it smacks them in the face. Fuck the mainstream, Demitrious Capone and Julius Luciano are the hottest rappers on the planet right now, and if the radio don't fuck with them, then it's there loss
