Well, I was 12 years old when The Chronic came out, so I don't know if you think I'm too young to realize it....But I heard "Dre Day" "Let me ride" "G thang" "Gin & juice" and "Doggy dogg world" all the time on the radio and I NEVER considered that mainstream or pop. What I'm saying is that "Beautiful" DOES NOT SOUND WEST COAST. It sounds pop and mainstream. I'm not saying just because a track gets airplay it is mainstream...because that's not the case.
