Well, they could go with Dre's call @14 and Snoop throw us the other 2 songs as bonuses.

Everyone wins.

Snoop and Dre both sound GREAT on the mic, but like Sccit and others, I don’t like the busy production on this new track, nor do I like the chicks singing.

But I’m still very optimistic about the album, especially with Dre finally speaking on it

Dre added: “The musicians I’m working with right now and some of the writers in the studio that are helping us… Snoop is really excited about this and so am I. I think people are gonna really enjoy this.”

I’m low key optimistic for this -

I’ll just go through my why I am and what my personal concerns are

Reasons to be optimistic -

1 - Dre and Snoop always sound great together and can’t nobody make snoops unique voice and flow shine like Dre
2 - Dre said he excited and he said he working with some great musicians on this. That makes me happy if it’s not his regular focus, denaun, dem joints sound. Dre also previously said he’d never let down his brother and i don’t see Dre having his name on it with every track if he didn’t believe in it.
3 - speaking of which - Dre clearly said he produced everything on the album- it don’t matter if it got ICU on it or someone else - if it’s Dre name on it with snoop - I’m checking it.
4- Lucifer on Eminems album was dope (especially the hook) and even though road rage was not and sounded like that Compton sound that dem joints is a part of - Dre’s mixing was dope and even the icu joints were well produced for once. His work with marsha- whilst I don’t think the album is a masterpiece- his mixing and crispness was still there and there some switches where the beats sounded banging

My personal concerns

1 - whilst lucifer was dope etc Dre’s sound from the early 2000’s was FAR more advanced and layered than his current sound and sounded more ahead of its time. Huge reasons was He had the best ppl in the industry working with him then and I hope he gotta team to work with him for snoops project that come up with fire too
2 - the bar is SO high. Forget dogystyle, even just in general Dre and snoop collabs are so fucking high level shit - lay low, henessey and buddah - I don’t wanna even mention next episode, still dre - some of the greatest hip hop created - can they really hit even close those heights? Even if this shit is full of lay low and Hennessy and buddah level joints that would be incredible. However they said the sound is more mature - what does that even mean musically? They can’t make hits no more? I understand what he tryna say in regards to direction and snoops words and maybe even musically but they still gotta make heat. And I do trust Dre with snoop more than anyone else. But can they really hit those type of heights? Dre seemed real confident in his interview though about the album. Sounded like he really believed in the sound.

3 - and finally how motivated and ambitious are they really? Dre producing a whole snoop album even now it priceless let’s be honest - something to keep forever for us fans of both. But these niggas when they were young and hungry made all time records. Next episode and still Dre gonna be played 15 years from now just like it is today. Imagine they got one more banger in the locker - but do they?

Anyway if this comes out - I’m excited - Kendrick running the game right now and rightly so, dude in a zone unmatchable but snoop and Dre as a pair is also unfuckwithable too! I know a lot of us on here will be happy if this really comes out.

In all honesty 15 years down the line nobody would really be playing Snoop Dogg apart from a few pockets across mid to Eastern Europe

Sure thing, lol. Certain artists gain new audiences as years pass because younger generations can also relate to their music, thus retaining a following for much longer than the duration of their career

Oldheads still clinging on trying to relive 1993 again are not new audiences, once they start going senile and/or dying out, it's a wrap.

People enjoying Snoop Dogg's antics at the Olympics and everywhere else he keeps cropping up are the same people who can't name 5 album tracks of his
