Jay-Z doesn’t have any tracks that can fucc with—

“21 Jumpstreet”
“Who got some gangsta shit”
“2 of Americas Most Wanted”
“Never leave me Alone”
“Hooked”
“Bitch Please”
“Buck Um”
“Heat Goes Boom”
“Just Dippin”
“Now We Lay Um Down”
“Next Episode”
“Lay Low”
“Go Away”
“P.I.M.P. Remix”
“Caught Up”
“Smooth”

Any one of them songs destroys Jay-Z’s whole career

I have never heard "Loosen Control" on the radio or at a party and it was a single.

My point was based on The solo albums from these two.

then u should remove those Watch The Throne songs from your list

I’m not a huge Jay fan, and while I liked the original Dead Presidents, his first album wasn’t all that well received at the time (revisionist history and Jay propaganda turned it into a classic).

Meanwhile, Snoop’s performance on the Chronic and Doggystyle can’t be touched by anything Jay dropped.

However, musically, Snoop has been too inconsistent and careless with what he’s put out.  He has a few quality tracks on each album but too much filler and the good songs get lost in the abyss.

Jay Z plays the game much better, and aside from a few missteps, has crafted better albums (while also marketing them much much better).

Does Jay have anything touching Snoops top tracks?  I don’t think so.  But ajar managed to ride waves (Kanye, Linkin Park) and stay musically relevant.

But there are MANY people out there who LOVE Jay-Z and swear by his shit.  I’ll take Snoop over him any day, BUT I don’t hate on people who say the opposite.

These are preferences. Not Mainstream hits. And keep in mind that I am a Snoop fan.

"HOOKED"?????  That is a great song but this is not a known song outside of here or L.A

Only Hov’s album I can listen is The Dinasty and some songs in the 4:44 album, the rest is mehhhh.

Some of his singles are bangers like OPEN LETTER, Where I’m From & Know Bout Me (feat. Drake& James Fountleroy). The last one is a Timbaland single, but it’s a banger in my opinion.

I'm probably in the minority, but I enjoyed the album that Dre mixed and produced 4 tracks ' Kingdom Come'.

"P.I.M.P Remix" was huge.  Song and video.  And Snoop was on a couple different versions of the track that made rounds on radio and video.  He took a cut that was just like a lesser album joint and made it an international sensation.  "Next Episode" was a massive his still to this day.

How are these not mainstream hits.

This, and B Please and 2 of Americaz were also huge hits and still are internationally known. Lay Low as well to a lesser extent.

But overall yeah, I'm not the biggest Hov fan, but he has more classic songs and better albums than Snoop. Even Jay-Z worst albums have records that are better than half on the songs you've listed.

Once again you guys mixin your preference with facts.

Jay got massive international hits at least since 03 Bonnie and clyde.

Guys, that video was on hourly(!!!) rotation on mtv, viva bet amd all music channel when it came out!

Snoop got something like that with signs and beautiful.

Yeah, jay cause of Beyonce.
Snoop cause of pharrell and justin.

Both artist got hits, sales worldwide.

But aint as gangsta, hc rappers.

But as celebritys, husnbands, ceo-s. As brands.

Hooked is off the hook, thought and was hoping that was the direction Snoop was gonna take musically.

These are preferences. Not Mainstream hits. And keep in mind that I am a Snoop fan.

I forgot about it. "Kingdom Come" was some bangers on it.

Talk over, now let's go back to talking only about the album, if it doesn't lose the meaning of the thread.

I can only speak for NYC but Jay is not even the most popular NY rapper amongst old heads here

Biggie
Nas
50

bigger than Jay in NYC

I forgot about it. "Kingdom Come" was some bangers on it too. But fuck Hov! Snoop does it better, no doubt.

my bad just saw this

had to put my 2 cents in about Jayz

as far as MISSIONARY hope it lives up to the hype

Dre said he needs to be done by September I think for the November release date to stick
