No one is saying it has to be early 90s G-Funk, but why does it have to be Dre fucking around with genres he know nothing about? It just sounds bland and uninteresting as a result. Example, I quite like Sting, but listening to Snoop try to sing alongside him is an absolute joke. Why would I waste my hard earned money supporting a sub par blend of hip hop/pop, when I could instead get a great pop album from someone who can actually sing and a great rap album from someone who is committed to lyrics and flow?

Preach!

Snoop and Dre have become mainstream, the production on Another Part of me is on Top I have already heard it several times on the radio today and that outside the USA between rock and pop

If you don't like it, you should put up with the fact that times change. If you want hardcore hip hop, you shouldn't look for Snoop and Dre anymore

That's one thing to understand though, you are probably part of the small pourcentage that want this from them. Like I've said previously Snoop Dogg is bigger than rap, 75% of the fan base appreciate the persona, the icon, 20% will acknowledge his impact in hip-hop and 5% are the die hard fans that are stuck in area that Snoop and Dre have move on from

I see Snoop as the biggest and most consistent funk artist in the world for the last 30 years, next in line to James Brown, parliament funkadelic and prince.

Like Dre said in 1993 in a tv interview; the future of funk is Snoop.

Some people say Snoop is not real hiphop because his rhymes are not complex enough and he uses ghostwriters. But they are wrong he is the biggest funk artist and funk is the father of hiphop and pop (starting from the disco era)

Every few years Snoop has dropped absolut funk classics; from beautifull and Lets get blown with pharrel to the soopafly tracks on bodr, to dj pooh on the doggfather, with meech wells and kokane; with daz, battlecat, the Mekanix, Raphael saadiq and of course Dre, and Snoop deserves that recognition.

Maybe with this album they aim for that grammy.

Can I get the instrumental to the Sting track?
2 Corinthians 6:8
By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;

6:9
As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;

6:10
As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

This song sucks.

This is all Dre's fault. And his team of producers.

Snoop can still make good West coast music. He made a TON of it on the DPG + Eastsidaz albums. In fact, I think it's for him.

I'm not saying the album has to have that same sound, but like almost all these singles been wack so far.  Gorgeous is the best one. The other two are an abomination.

This album is probably not going to be very good.  Dre's fault. He doesn't have it anymore.

What marketing lie? They made a new album together after 30 years. Dre said it's different, it sounded international

glad someone mentioned Bush i feel like that LP is very underrated. one producer(s) (significant it may be the final project from The Neptunes as a duo) and has Snoop doing a variety of styles, most funk & pop sorta records. probably the best album he put out since BCT and the bar i'll judge Missionary against.
