but as some have already mentioned, it's not quite what you imagine

           the beat starts @3:54

The quality is terrible, but that's exactly what you want from this banger, especially as a single
Look at the audience and there are Nipsey (R.I.P.) / Hi-Tek / Just Blaze and so on

These some things old tracks reworked or has he been in the studio lately?  Whatever the case, this gives me hope.  All we really need is dope production and hooks as Snoop sounds so good on the mic on the three released singles (even the Sting one).  Dre knows how to get the most out of Snoop vocally

I’m shocked to write this but after watching the music video trailer a few times and listening on my headphones, Outta Da Blue is very strangely growing on me.

Didn’t expect that at all

I've been feeling it for a while too, especially after listening to the track where it's sampled from.
I agree that it depends how you listen to it, not too say that I don't understand why people don't like it!

You ever think of locking in with Sam Sneed? Dre’s sound with him > 2001 era sound to me.

That’s so dope you working with The Glove- I believe he worked on the very first rap I ever heard (early Ice-T).   He also did Phone Tap?  That best alone makes him a legend.

I don't know how to feel about the album until I hear it in its entirety

but judging from the first 3 singles it went from excited to somewhat intrigued
