I like the album, gonna listen to it a couple more times. Only song I don’t like is the 1 wit Sting.

On second listen today. I like it and a good range of samples used on it too. Stylistics, Suzanne Vega, Pink Floyd. Skyscrapers, Pressure & Sticcy Situation probably the standout tracks for me at the moment. I can't see it making my top 10 albums of the year but then it's had some incredible competition across all genres.

So far I like nine out of the sixteen tracks. Better then expected but nowhere near their classic work.

Would rate this 7.5/8

I only have heard the snippets so far. I need to listen to it on big speakers in my truck. Snoops flows seem good. None of the beats so far stand out on computer speakers.

I feel like Scott Storch doesn't get enough credit for the 2001 Dre beat style , which I prefer. I am not a huge fan of what I call the "Great Gatsby" Casablanco style beats. Most of my favorite Dre beats were basically Scott Storch beats.

storch didn’t do much on 2001 outside of the keys for still dre and a couple others.. he wasn’t even the main keyboard player on the album

most of the beats was aided by mel man

You cant be wronger than this.

Scott Storch and Camara Kambon were main instrumentalists for the album. Mel-man was the co producer and he was mostly resposible for drum programming.

Dr. Dre was struggling since he founded aftermath till he release 2001... most of the people says the missing link was eminem but i think missing link was scott storch.

Instead of 7 songs he is involved, Just for making "still dre" scott storch is the most important part of 2001.

Give him his flowers Sccit

Storch and Elizondo made that Dre 99-2005 run a great one .

After that Dre music gradually fell off .

It's facts

"Making Still Dre" you putting a lil too much sauce on that 1. All he did was write and play the piano part. He himself has said that in several interviews.

 :mjlol:

camaro kambon was the main keyboardist for the album.. storch was secondary … this is facts, not my opinion homie

mel-man did wayyyyy more than storch, it’s not even close

storch was essentially a session played who was guided by dre

the only thing he came up wit on his own was the piano riff for still dre

none of this is disputable

off top

saying storch is the most important part of 2001 is not only factually inaccurate, it’s hilarity at its finest… not even storch would make this crazy claim
