I've noticed the difference between Spotify and Apple, the spotify version is more full (for lack of a better word)
On tidal with max quality sounds good to my ears. Maybe it is an apple thing.

Watching the mini movie, is it just me or does it seem at the end they are subtly announcing a 50 Cent project?

Qobuz 24-Bit/44.1kHz FLAC is the best quality out for streaming service.

I think the streaming services generally put a certain master filter on it. Most of the time it improves the sound but with Dre maybe his sound is too advanced for that.
For example Compton i have the cd and lp and those sound better on the same speakers than the Apple Music version.

Absolutely correct! CD Quality is still the closest you can get to the studio version producer's want you to hear it. Not a big fan of the streaming era although they are making steps forward with lossless etc. Vinyl is another story; totally different, analog technology and warmer sound in general.

PS: I can also confirm that the Missionary CD (without "Thank You" of course) sounds slightly better than the YT premium high quality version.

What I loved about this album is the nostalgic feeling of getting a fully produced Dre Rap album (Last was Compton) on the day it dropped on a physical medium  8) So nonetheless big props to them for releasing still music in their age, that's the most impressive part to me.

To me this project sounds very like a continuation of "The Contract EP"

It's 2024, but I still have to say the last Dr. Dre Beat I celebrated was a long time ago. For example, Popped Off (T.I. Feat. Dr. Dre) somehow something has been lost over the years, of course the productions are evolving and he no longer wants to make the beats or kind of beats, but he was actually known for that with little elements to produce good music. tracks like Bishop Lamont - Grow Up / U Ain't Goin Nowhere (Young Buck Feat. Latoiya Williams) / Stat Quo - The Way It Be (Feat. Scarface) 2014, by the way, is produced by Steve Esterferm & Dr Dre / Catalina (Raekwon Feat. Lyfe Jennings) / Bitch Im Back (Slim Thug Feat. Devin The Dude) produced by Sir Jinx / One Blood (Original Version) (The Game) or Hallelujah (Feat. Then it started with tracks like Stronger (Marsha Ambrosius Feat. Dr. Dre) I didn't understand the sample, even if it was copied
At the end of the day I prefer to listen to simple piano-driven songs like Boss' Life (Feat. Nate Dogg) or Imagine (Feat. Dr. Dre & D'Angelo)

no you are mixing apple and oranges Homie. (no pun intended haha)
Apple and Spotify use mp3 of 320 kb/s (apple has a lostless option but most ppl use default settings and do not turn that on)
it is basically just mp3 and of course there is a difference between mp3 and WAV files ( cd) , to give you an idea a mp3 is roughly around 7 mb large and a wave is around 33-40 mb, a mp3 is basically a comrpessed wav...
BUT you can still observe a general tonality when listening to a mp3 and pin point how a an album was mixed, a mp3 doesnt remove or add frequencies who weren't there at the first place, so as it might sound slighty better overall it will keep the same tonality if it was mixed too bright it will still retain that bright tone with lack of warmth...
On spotify you can also turn off the auto gain option to get a bit of a better experience volumewise but you can still observe the tones an engineer wanted to give to an album mixing wise
On Tidal lostless it is basically a CD quality no filter (as you said but the word is not filter more encoding)

I think a lot of ppl do not understand the technicality of those things nor understand frequencies but yet assert or believe they got it... it is justyears of training but also knowing the science beind it...

i d like to add that it doesnt remove anything if ppl likes it , music has to be felt if ppl like it fair enough. but some of us prefer roundness to harshness... The sound of Dre is not too advanced for encoding lol... it was a mixing decision from their team to have it like this. Now an exercise play the Bruno Mars album 24 K or the track UP in The Club done by Quik for Second to None, and compare it to the new Snoop you will see how they sound far better compared to any missionary songs engineering wise.

Interesting take.  Can't say that I disagree with you for the most part.  You could argue that even though Dre didn't produce on GNX his influence (sounds, mix, ideas) is all over it.  And, the overall production on Missionary is great.  It is the best that Snoop Dogg has sounded in a long time.  For Dre, the bar was set so high from his earlier work that it is nearly impossible for him to reach it or surpass it again.  I think one of the keys to his earlier success was that he was always working with new talent.  Wonder what it would look like if he produced a couple of songs for other artists outside of his circle.  Would love to hear a Jelly Roll solo record with Dre, same with BJ the Chicago Kid, and some of the newer rappers.

Speaking of Boss Life, is the Name Dogg version anywhere on streaming? Of not, where did you find it because I believe it was bleak and never retail right?

Thanks, but i still dont get why there is a difference in sound between the Apple songs of the album and the YouTube missionary movie. And i dont mean a small difference for the trained ear.
For example outta da blue bass is way thicker in that movie. I am using the same headphones. Maybe it is because it is mixed with other movie sounds or something. But When i put the ‘hiphop’ equalizer on Apple Music on it it is fixed.
