Exactly 👍 It's revisionist history like a lot of things. Somebody made another good point in the thread that after Snoop's murder trial he wanted to take the easy way and just be like "oh I like everybody" because he was scared, and had kids and family to think about — and it was no longer about making his name on the streets, he didn't want more dramaTruth is, Snoop was riding with Pac, they were like brothers at the top of the game. And Snoop just kind of came soft in loyalty there in the last dayz of their friendshipPac was gonna challenge him and make him own up to that. But not to the point that snoop really needed to bring a knife on that private jet — and look what happened — nothing — Snoop never got threatened on the plane and never even needed it
In one of them Neckbone interviews he mentions that Snoop left Pac and Death Row hanging when they went to have a drunk school fight in the park (Central Park), but ended up being surrounded by Nasty Nas and a 100 or so NY goons...made it out alive and lucky not to get jumped as Nas most likely gave them a pass whilst Snoop was on radio showing Biggie and NY luv. When Biggie used to call up the radio, he would tell NY to represent and trailers (Snoop's) would get got shot up.To his credit Neckbone dont hate on anyone in those interviews, this the one thing that he shook his head @ They even played a clip of Snoop casually telling porkies about that incident
outter worldly energy and spirituality is always tied in to God .. and no, libs are very very anti-God, so i'm not sure what u goin on aboutnapoleon only spoke on their relationship pre beef i don't get it.. you lack the ability to read and react? so you think everyone should be the same?for instance, we can conclude based on your previous actions that when a thread on a new daz project come out, you will enter the thread and start trolling about how excited you are because we've all been waiting for some new daz shit .. it's called being observant are u an athiest by any chance? doesn't have much to do with the topic at hand, but i was genuinely curious.
yup ... there have been plenty of interviews detailing snoops lack of solidarity towards pac throughout the years and it goes in line with his character, so not sure why this would even be questioned outside of the childhood fantasy aspect of these artists being best friends in real life lol newsflash .. nobody in the DPG was ever best friends. they were more so working partners who beefed on n off. this is another first hand account from the latest member of the DPG.
You're right, it doesn't have much to do with this topic, but if you want to start another topic in the G Spot talking about religion, faith, beliefs, spiritual energy, whatever....I'm always down to chop it up and engage. Just don't wanna bog down this thread, which has already gotten off the initial topic of Daz's biopic into a discussion on whether 2Pac hated Snoop or not. No need to water it down any further getting into religous talk, especially with you being a mod, wanna keep it on point, cause you know a subject like that is gonna bring in all kinds of outside opinions.
it's a simple yes or noit has to do with the topic because daz is a man of God
I believe this 100 percentthe only ones that might have been a little close at least to Pac might've been Suge of course both are not DPGbut I even doubt that
some people find out and still wana hold on to their child ideologies it's like finding out santa isn't real lol
Snoop is so jealous and hateful to Pac that he brought him to death row and recorded the classic second single with him that helped blow him up??
literally no one said that lmao now u just twistin shit up in hopes that he died holding snoops hand while looking him in the eye and saying with his last breath "snoop.. just carry the west for me while i'm gone *flatline*" as streams of tears pour down snoops face, he lets out a long "nooooo!!" *end scene*
Snoop flopped a few months later on Doggfather while PAC reached Prophet/Bob Marley/like status with 7 Day Theory. So Snoop may have been making safe moves for his family, but from a fan's perspective maybe Pac did need to check him over going soft at the tail end of the summer of 96'So I don't have a problem with Pac checking him or being mad at him after he made those comments about being cool with Big and Puff. And it doesn't ruin my perfect 14 year old narrative of how great everything was in the mid-90's death row era and the pinnacle it had reached by summer 96So I can still keep what Sccit labels as my fanciful childhood narrative of Snoop and Pac being homies at the height of their field (the same way I also believe Jordan and Pippen to be like brothers at the height of their field for 6 championships. There are some Bulls players who have said that as far as they knew Jordan and Pippen were like brothers—and that they saw them getting along and being in sync at the highest levels. Then there are of course other more nuanced stories of Horace and Scottie (who were very close) being disgruntled and people not liking Jordan — and we of course see Scottie coming out with all this revisionist history years later. There was a great Sam Smith book The Jordan Rules that talks about all this. So both narratives are out there—just like how you got both narratives on Snoop and Pac
Agreed. Look at Pac's history. He's had to check almost all his associates at one point. I alone have provided many examples of that, even to the point of some of the Outlawz going back to Jersey in the middle of recording sessions, only to return and be friends a few weeks later. Just because Pac was upset with Snoop at that moment, and I don't doubt that he was, does not mean it was going to become another Biggie level feud situation. Makes for a fun narrative though, doesn't it?Certain people here have a hard on for Snoop and think they know what goes on in everyone's mind, when clearly they don't. Snoop's star was fading fast in 96. He wasn't manipulating people, pulling power plays, being shady, etc. Now maybe he was being shady with friendships and whatnot, but on a business side of things, Suge was still running things in 96. Snoop's career longevity was certainly far from a fargone conclusion back then. Another thing the younger people here fail to realize is Snoop was not a big time baller shot caller in 96. Doggfather bombed...was Snoop going to be a one album wonder? He was lucky No Limit signed him and kept him relevant. He could've faded off into obscurity after Pac's death. That's why if you listen to Snoop, he still gives Master P a lot of credit with reviving his career when he was at a crossroads. Dre wasn't fucking with him at the time. So for people to say Snoop was calling all the shots and making all these moves....yeah, he can pull that stuff today, but in 96, he didn't have the clout.
the difference between me and u is that i personally know the people involved in this situation while ur over here going off of "i think" because u watched a few interviews i think it's been proven who the ones with a "hard on" for snoop areat least infinite has the balls to admit it.. for that, i salute him
No need to be so defensive or confrontational. If you say you knew Pac and Snoop on a personal level at that time, i'm not gonna argue. I didn't mention your name at all in that last post, if you don't fit that description, then I wasn't referring to you. It is what it is....although i am a little sad I didn't get your salute 😂
