I get where you are coming from, but you keep proving my point with every post. This isn't to attack you personally, I'm just stating the objective facts.

How do you claim nobody has heard of such and such artist, when you have been stuck with the same restricted number of artists for 30 years, as per your admission? You are speaking from such a limited POV that it immediately invalidates your statement about an artist's relevance because you have no meaningful reference point of relevance at all. You aren't following what's happening in hip-hop, you are following what's happening in some (however many) artists' career paths.

Following the same stuff for decades and not expanding horizons is not considered ''keeping up with'' in any profession or industry. And before you say you aren't following anybody new because you don't like the new artists - Being aware what else is happening out there ≠ liking it

Because I'm not literally saying "nobody has heard of the guy". Yes, I typed "nobody has heard of him", but I think it is implied that I don't literally mean that. There are rappers on youtube who have like 10 views. You can't literally say nobody has heard of them either, because obviously 10 people watched the video.

My entire point was that M80 promoted this album as a "highly anticipated collaboration". I think I can literally say that NOBODY has anticipated this collaboration (outside of the people involved), much less that it has been highly anticipated.

Everyone who posted and made guesses - all the guesses were pretty big name artists. When you promote something as "highly anticipated" it is also implied that the artists would be pretty popular.

I'm not really sure what you are trying to argue. Are you seriously trying to argue that this guy is really popular? I just typed him in Youtube and a quick search shows his most popular video has 50K views. Most of his videos have less than 2K views. So yeah, I stick with my statement. Nobody has heard of this guy. Look, I'm a really big fan of Lil' C-style, and I could say the same thing about him. You are taking the phrase, "Nobody has heard of him..." as literal. It is a phrase that implies that hardly anybody has heard of him.

Am I saying that he isn't good? No, I've never even listened to his music. Like I said, I really like Lil' c-style, but I can truly say, nobody has heard of him.

I don't listen to Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift, lil wayne, lady gaga, or others, but I would never say "Nobody has ever heard of them...". Again, it isn't that I'm not keeping up with hip hop, because I am. I just listed about 10 albums that came out this year and I listened to them. I'm keeping up with hip hop that I like.

Agreed that it's obviously M80 marketing tactics.

I'm looking forward to the album because it's more Kurupt music, but this other guy isn't exactly well known or exciting.
