It's all about Ski's "Past And Present" right now. Can't stop bumpin' songs like "Gangsta Funk" (my personal summer hit this year ;D).

Varied shit at the moment...

Last night went for some down south stuff - Scarface's The Fix, Devin's Just Tryin' Ta Live and Blac Monc's Secrets of the Hidden Temple.

Way to work today was, believe it or not, Robbie William's latest album - that new Something Beautiful tune is dope.

All weekend had Prince's 3-CD Emancipation album. Considering most rappers struggle to make a single album without filler, it astounds me that he could make 75% of a 3 CD set so good.

 ;D  ;D

at home i've got in my  CD changer: Paris - Guerilla Funk, Run-DMC - Greatest Hits, Talib Kweli - Quality, Nas - It Was Written, Pete Rock & CL Smooth - The Main Ingredient
in my discman i have Paris - Sleeping With The Enemy
work-wise i've been bringin- NWA Legacy 2, Paris - The Devil Made Me Do It, Del Tha Funkeee Homosapien - No Need For Alarm, Eric B & Rakim - Don't Sweat The Technique, Mobb Deep - Hell On Earth

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.
