Lmao at the only review available...

As good as the album is it does miss alot of Death Row material, the company that invented G-Funk and where is 2Pac!Anyway, apart from these slight gliches it is a great Gangsta rap album with a distinctive westcoast flavour.Enjoy it if you buy it.

hmm not sure i agree with him on this...where exactly was pac in the og day of g-funk ;) (anyone?) and as far as death row inventing g-funk...i think not!

^ LOL

I got this a long long time ago.. its quite a good lil comp.. one of my first forays into west coast stuff.. and it made Black Superman one of my faves. Its probably the easiest way to get Black Superman on a 'proper CD' since Uncle Sam's Curse is impossibly hard to get.

is "3. Keep their heads ringin' (original 12" version) - Dr. Dre" anything rare? or is it like the radio and single version?

Don't remember anything special... I've got the CD single and the 12" too.. and there's nothing different with those. Maybe its a clean version? I'll double-check later once i'm home.

couldnt u just make this compilation yourself? or is the cover art really worth ten/fifteen bucks?

all those cheap looking compilations are just money making scams for people in the music biz with no talent

I know there is 2 (That I know of) versions at best of "Keep their heads ringin'"
Check the "Friday Sdtk" version
Then bump Deathrow's Grt hits version.
some word changes in there.

U might have to listen closley...
but If ure' used to one or the other, when played side by side u will notice the several word's missing & changed.
I prefer the "Friday" version.

ok i just made a huge post here explaining this and it got eaten.. so here's the short version, fact by fact ;)

1) I have here Friday OST, Friday OST CD Single, Death Row Greatest Hits, G Funk Classics Comp.

2) Both Friday OST and CD Single have the exact same version, and there is no clean version on the single.

3) The version on Death Rows Greatest Hits differs in that the intro has been removed, other than that it appears to be the same.

4) I also have a video rip where the lyrics are clean.
example. "The muthfuckin d-r-e // i keep they muthfuckin heads ringin" becomes "the one and only d-r-e // and you know i keep they heads ringin"
(you can find this on any version by starting at around 1:20 and listening on)

5) my copy of this comp has a diff track list *without* this song.. as follows...
   i) tracks are in a diff order.
ii)the slick rick track and the WC & Mad Circle track arent on the list opti posted above.
iii) my one doesnt have the cube/scarface track.  (or of course dre keep their heads ringin)
iv) mine has the OG regulate, not the jammin remix

..tracklist for mine..

NWA - Alwayz into somethin´ (Full Length Album Version) (4.29)
Above The Law - Black superman (Original Full Length Album Version) (4.25)
Mista Grimm - Indosmoke (Full Length Album Version) (5.22)
Warren G - Regulate (Original Version) (4.09)
LV - Gangsta´s boogie (Barr 9 Version) (4.40)
Da Brat feat. Notorious BIG - The dirty B-side (Full 12" Version) (3.42)
Paris - Guerilla funk (Deep Fo´ Real Mix) (7.58)
DJ Quick - Summer breeze (Full Length Album Version) (4.31)
Lil 1/2 Dead - 12 pacofdoja (Original 12" Version) (5.12)
Slick Rick feat. Warren G - Behind bars (Dum Ditty Dum Mix) (3.21)
Domino - Ghetto jam (Full Length Album Version) (4.19)
WC & The Maad Circle - West up (Full Length Album Version) (4.45)
