and look at xbox in other places in tha world, in Asia the playstation one is selling twice as much as the xbox, look at these hardware/software sales from asia, these are from the past week. The xbox team should be VARY WORRIED,If i was microsoft i would do a price cut to at least $150

Yeah, to put it in perspective, I thought I'd offer a few thoughts.

Microsoft may be huge, and may have a ton of money, but they have the most to lose in this.

1. The X-box is the most expensive of the three to make, it has more power, A DVD player, a hard drive, etc.  So they can't drop their price as low as nintendo, because it costs them more to make the x-box than it does to make a gamecube.  

2. X-box may be more successful than Gamecube, but the Nintendo Gameboy has 98 percent of the handheld market sewed up, and the Gameboy SP is as expensive as the Gamecube, but only costs a fraction of that to build!  The Gameboy also has the most extensive library of games in the world, and all of the Gameboy games are compatible with the Gamecube.  Nintendo is in NO trouble, they could survive indefinately with their stronghold of the handheld market.

3. Nintendo is the only company of the three with a presense in the arcades, with the FZero AX system coming out in the arcades this month.  An Arcade simulator costs 7 or 8 grand EACH, so again, they're not hurting for money.

You may think this is a desperation move by nintendo, but actually, it's a big "Fuck You" to playstation and the X-box, because Nintendo knows they can't sell their system as cheap as theirs, because of the DVD player.  It's also very strategic going into the holidays.

theyve said many times that they know that they are losing money,and they are willing to lose how much ever they need to,to get their foot in the video game business,so obviously making money on system sales isnt even at the top of their priority list

Hmmm; well if they're losing money with the success they're having now, they have the absolute worst business plan in the world, and deserve to go bankrupt.  They can't expect or even wish for better success than they have now, and if that's not enough for them to turn a profit, they're hopelessly doomed.
