Also, you people know money is made from Mixtapes, right? The DJs are banking in on them, and the  artist does, too. Now, Eminem and 50 may not have got money for doing the Hail Mary song, but you know how much promotion that got them? Lots. Promotion is money, whether you know it or not. Promotion is getting your name out there. They're getting their name out there by redoing that Pac song. Em is getting his name out even more by producing the track. So, yes, he is making money off this. And, everyone says he produces free, I doubt that. He made money for making the beat, I'm sure. Once again, it all boils down to who you people like. Look at everyone who dissaproves of Ja, they don't like him. Everyone who approves of Em, is a fan of his. I'm a fan of neither of the scumbags. I just think it's unfair for Eminem to get so many passes, and everyone else doesn't.

I think it's all in the image more so than what is said.  From JZ to Nas to Bay Area rappers, almost every rapper has in some way mentioned Tupac and some (not as well know)  have used his lines.  Anyone who can't see Ja's blatant act to capitalize on Pac's image is either blind as hell or is in denial or something.  When I generally see Eminem, I don't see Tupac and that's not because he is white.  It's because he is his own man and has his own style.....50 on the other hand maybe needs to tone it down a little.

First of all, Afeni hires a lot better producers and does a much better job wit remixing pacs work.

Second, i dont have a problem with eminem doing what he did cuz he didnt do it for his own profit, i truly believe that Eminem has a great amount of respect for tupacs work and is honoured to do this for afeni.  Remember, Em does not even charge for tracks, he gives them away so props to him...  peace

I think Em made "Hail Mary" in an attempt to do something Pac related. He also did "Hit Em Up" over again, how do you explain that? Was it to make Everlast seem like a Pac dickrider? Nope.

Teecee, do you know for sure Ja doesn't respect Pac's music? No. Em is a fan like Ja, only difference is Em is more talented. That's why everyone gives him the pass.

Remember, Em just says he doesn't get paid, WE do not know for sure if he does or not. But, he's getting free promo and publicity for doing this. That's money right there.

Everyone saying Ja is trying to portray the Pac image: I bet half of you dissed Yukmouth for pointing that out. So kill that noise. Let's not forget Ja wears a bandana, but so does Em. Ja said straight up that Pac would ride with him. Now how the fucc does he know that? That right there in my book is enough to put Ja to shame. Em never said any such thing like that. He only remade "Hail Mary" to diss Ja. If no one got that, look again. It's clever as fucc. And about the "Hit Em Up" thing? First off, it wasn't even Pac's original beat. Second, tons of people have used that beat. I don't think there's any disrespect in using a beat. All in all, IMO Em is a TRUE fan of Pac's, and realizes how great he is. I could careless who uses who's beats for anything, but I do think it's fucked up that it's OK for Em to use Pac beats, shout out Pac and claim to be White Pac, but when Ja says he and Pac would ride together, and uses Pac beats, it's wrong. Fuck the bullshit, Em is doing what Ja is doing, only more subtle. Ja never claimed to be Pac, until he had enough of it. Hell, he never used the words, "I am the new Pac." I never heard them. He did say, "you want to see Pac, he's here." You tell someone something enough, it'll piss them off. People would always ask Haystak how he felt about Bubba Sparxxx, he had no answer, but after a while he just said, "fuck Bubba Sparxxx." Why? Becuase he was annoyed with it. That's how Ja felt, I'm almost sure. And, actually, he still didn't claim to be Pac, he just Pac's here. That's not saying anything in particular. YOU people read into it. Claiming to be White Pac is more like claiming to be Pac, IMO.

Thank you! The post I was looking for. I don't got a problem who does what with any beat, if it's tight, it's tight. But, these cats have a hissy fit when someone they don't like uses Pac beats/verses.
